My suspicious mind suggests that if we had signed Hartley it would have been announced along with the Duffs signing. Maybe the new 'you have to lower yourself to the rest Salary Cap' has forced us to change/reduce offers to players.

Poor Leigh eh!
Cracking signing for you guy's! Will be best half in that legaue (has to play there surely) not as good as Webster so understanable he's left though it is a shame!

Duffy and hartley are good players but depends on their fitness aswell.Hartley is injury prone and duffy seems to be always getting hurt.They give their best and i am sure they will do well for you next year.Duffy would not get above thackeray,smith or webster so best decision to make if wants regular football.

Slightly gutted to see John go...
His versatility is excellent and with Paul and Durbin you have a three very good players there.
We won't forget his performance in the NRC cup final game.

Seems to me if that is the case they could come to a gentlemen's agreement with him and offer to add this next seasons shortfall, in any expected contract, to the seasons after next contract.
I am very pleased with the Duffy signing btw.  |
