But dont hold your breathe they may have been waiting to see how it all panned out before they move the posts again

I don't think anyone is going up in 2012 except Widnes and maybe Toulouse if they get their act together so being relegated today won't affect your long term SL ambitions which were really only realistic for 2015 anyway. 2012 is always going to be Widnes and Toulouse.

We're miles away from SL and today makes very little difference to that fact IMO. We should be focussing on being the best we can be outside of SL. Until we get 4-5,000 through the gates every home game then we can forget it.

At least the club can now look to rebuild itself. Get rid of the deadwood. Get back to winning ways. Get more fans through the turnstyles. Make the most of the many people playing RL in Leigh.

Why do people get hung up on saying we need 5k gates? Only one club in the history of the sport has ever got any where near that average gate figure outside the top flight!

Good attitudes there fellas. I know exactly how you feel - same thing happened to us in the 90's (relegation from the 2nd tier), but we were saved when they re-merged the leagues. Can't see that happening this time and I hope that all of the fans stick with the team next year. As pointed out, walking away with the league and a good NRC run could help get the feel good factor back up and running.

If you can get the people through the gate next year then you'll get back up with a chance of SL. If the fans stay away, then you could end up in a much worse place than you are now.

One downside is that we'll get even less home (and away) games than this season - when we've all complained at not having enough home fixtures!
