We desperately need some quality, especially in the half back and hooking roles. Now the Williams deal is off we should be looking to loan signings to lift us up the table.

Quote: mr. chairman "wakefield wanted to sign stanton and wanted him to delay his signing for leigh untill they could ofload some players , stanton chose leigh'"
Let's be honest he'd have struggled to make the Wakefield side don't you reckon?'"
Dont think we have seen the best of him to be fair as he never gets the ball so before you make your mind up lets see what he can do with plenty of ball going his way eh.

we seem to have (and have had for years) a distinct lack of 'strike' players also the game has changed to the detriment of the 'old fashioned' stand off, lets face it back in the 70s and 80s every club seemed to have a 'magical' stand off, Woods Joyner Myler to name only 3, halfbacks tend to suffer most because of the current theme of sl clubs throwing players to the wall at aged 19 - 20 if they haven't made the grain, also the average fan isnt prepared (at any level) to give a player a chance who isnt an instant hit (something Im as guilty of as much as anyone else) I think this is because of the 'instant success' mentality of fans as RL is now certainly a boom or bust business (i hesitate to call it a sport any more).
