Personally I thought the booing was a real shame. It doesnt help them, particularly at half-time. Then again, thats the first game I've seen this season. If this was the culmination of a number of poor performances that I'd shelled out to watch then I'd probably join in as well and therefore can understand why people felt the need to boo.
What I found more idiotic was the level of moaning (my opinion was not helped by the fool in front of me shouting for the Rowleys out after 45 minutes
). The incident that summed it up was when Watson pulled a great interception out to stop a certain try and the crowd went beserk for him not running the length with it
They're largely a bunch of young lads who did put the effort in. There heads ineveitably went down but they came up against a very strong Gateshead side who deserve credit for a job well done.
