a board of directors that made good decisions? the amount of money we have wasted on coach's/players etc since they took over is terrible. i honestly believe that their hearts are in the right place but god its gone down hill, i'm not saying that they have to through every penny they have at the club - but the club has gone far worse in recent seasons both on and off the pitch and it needs changing.

Halifax have turned things round in recent seasons without throwing stupid money at it - they have appointed a good coach and good players playing entertaining rugby and there is clearly a buzz about their club/town.

we also had that "buzz" prior to our SL year....being in several grand finals and then getting to SL, so I think you are being a little unfair.

Clearly since then the club has had less room for manoeuvre with cash and salary cap constraints. We have even bee fined for a salary cap breach.

Admittedly we recruited poorly last off season but to have a go at us when you've had one good season (and not won anything yet) in a number of years is getting a little bit ahead of yourselves don't you think?

What about your great youth policy though.... oh no I forgot you haven't got one

For the past three years we have been the best part time side in the comp. And the youth policy is coming. What have you gotten out of yours?

Check won the league for the youth comps over the last few years mate.

That also includes the Gillette national youth league where the winners were LEIGH mIners Ranger and the Barla National Cup winners was Leigh EAst at under 18s level.

And they are funded by Leigh Centurions? Again where has it gotten you at the moment?

I certainly would not call your club inept but I do think they have made a major blunder giving Paul Rowley the Head Coach job. This has nothing to do with his ability or the lack of it as he has no track record,that is the brunt of the problem.
It was the bigest blunder our club made a few years ago signing an ex-player for our coach and what was worst giving him another contract even though he was poor.
He had no track record and many who came to play for him were players who couldn`t care less who they played for as long as they got the money and we became the "elephants graveyard" of flawed players who had no repect for him.
It did not turn around till Martin Hall came to the club he was well known in rugby league circles and started to attract a better more committed player.
He only moved upstairs when the groundwork he laid down was flourishing so he knew he had a strong foundation to hand over to Matt Calland.
I think Kelly or someone of his type should have been Head Coach for another couple of years with Rowley learning off him so good players have the confidence to come back to your club so you can build again.
What`s hapening to you hapened to us and it`s been a long road back. Rowley is only young if it gets any worse he has not the experiance to sort it. So what happens then ? not I hope what hapened to our "club hero" who turned from hero to pantomime villain in 2 yrs. You never see him at the club now at all I would hate to see that happen to Paul as he is Leigh through and through.

i think they made a mistake whn announcing the attendance i am sure there were more there than that.
