Game over for Leigh. By and large Leigh seem to go well in the first 40 then struggle in the second 40. Widnes being an anomaly.

i would liken this season for us to that of castleford last season.

we are putting faith in the youngsters and local talent and giving them game time in a league that is more competitive than it has ever been.

This can only be a good thing, how good will we be next year if we can keep these guys together and just add a couple of class players to the mix?? My answer would be, better off than some of these sides who are trying to buy themselves a final.

My expectation at the beginning of this season was to finish 6th. I honestly believe now, that we will do even better and maybe end up fourth, behind halifax, haven and barrow.

Come on LEIGH!!!

Coming off the ground after the match i heard someone say that this is the worse team we have ever had i DONTagree like others have said on here we just need a couple more older heads to lead the young lads , if we can keep these young uns together then i'm sure things will improve dramatically but this will not happen overnight.

I reckon the local opticians must be running out of rose coloured specs by now. Sorry but with no half back to command and guide the team around we are clueless, absolutely clueless. The last half hour showed it. We also have no back up whatsoever. We are as far from the end of the rainbow as we have been for a while at the moment. If we cannot strengthen our squad (playing unfit players does not work!) then all we can hope is that we survive this season in the Championship. That will give us just one season to qualify to even be allowed to apply for a franchise as I can't see us winning the NRC and even less chance of reaching the GF this year.

Pessimism, negativity or realism?....you choose. icon_sad.gif

Realism mate.
If Pryce is true then we have a back who can score trys', a quality 6 and we can compete, provided we stay injury free and get Rudd back in the centre.

Donlan
Mort
Rudd
Pryce
Stanton/Alstead
Quality 6
Watson/Ridyard
Morrison
McConnell
Hill
Taylor
Higson
Armistead

Hobson/Cookson
Meekin
Durbin
Reay/Stanton/Alstead
