When I started watching there was a lad playing for Dewsbury who was the best place kicker we ever had. He was so good there,s an Avenue named after him at the LSV.
If I remember correctly the stats show that not only did Purtill kick so many consecutive goals but also his success % was the highest!
He scored a few tries as well G!!
Chris Johnson was good but didn't kick the ball hard enough and thus caused heart attacks wondering if they would reach or not!!

Percentage means nowt to me. I remember Purtill kicking 10 from 10 one game, and I could have backheeled them all over!!
