We have a football following now, many of our fans are also Man United fans & it shows in the songs that carry over.

Don't get me wrong, I am a MUFC fan & born & raised in Mcr so I know the songs, what happens is this, those lads singing them are mid teens to late 20's, they eventually grow up & leave it behind, I was the same at that age, not defending it, just pointing out facts as I see them.

The North Stand is where 'the lad's' go, to drink & sing, some are lads, some are lads dad's & some have kids. If you really want to avoid it/protect your kids from it, then go in the West Stand ....

On Thursday night I witnessed a Scouse steward shouting & swearing at other stewards in the N.S, "treat 'em like £UCK!N' Kids" & so on he was shouting about Leigh fans, so if the stewards have no self control, what hope for the rest ?

Well I stand with my kids in the North Stand and both are graduates and I/they dont have a problem.As above change the songs..God forbid fighting in the North Stand amongst ourselves we'd be hung drawn and quartered.

We are in SL and we have a lot eyes upon us being the new kids on the block..LSV is a fortress,lets not make it a laughing stock..You don't always have to follow the leader,they soon shut up,if you dont.

I was singing it on Thursday when Mick was walking the kids past , but " sh!ite " is a bit different to F*****G and the peado song or a reference to the IRA IMO

I took up Mr Beaumont and Mr Koukash's very generous offer yesterday and attended the Salford/Cas game, there was a good crowd on with both popular ends well attended especially the Cas end which was packed I believe they took 2K along.

Some posters on this thread are of the opinion that other teams chant obscene songs, well I must say it was not evident yesterday from both sets of supporters.

What is quite evident on this thread is the variation in self and life standards that people class themselves, unfortunately when other supporters from other clubs comment on the Leigh chants it is the all Leigh Fans who are tarnished with the same brush, not just those who believe it is right and proper to do so.
