How could LISA be on the board?.
If you had a thousand members you would need to ask them What they want then they would need to reply through letter,txt or e.mail then you'd take the majority veiw then pass that to the rest of the board then act on it.It would take an age to get anything done.

no not at all.

the way it works for us is that the BOD are installed by the members and we run the club on a day to day operation. we can make operational decisions and strategic ones regarding the running of the club. if we wanted to move to another ground or change our name we would have to take it to the shareholders.

it works like that for other shareholder companies too.

ASDA or Tesco don't contact every share holder when they want to increase the price of a loaf.

Sorry Ste, it was that old red herring she threw out again - no need for it when we are asking fans to dig deep and change our future. Some will follow the LISA way, some the shareholder partneship, some both - the key being they get involved. Some fans may read the carp and be influenced by the bloke on his barstool.
