Thought today was a ok sort of performance.
Seemed to start slow and then realised we could beat them if we kept the ball alive, when we did move the ball (and put in a few dummy runners / moves) we looked a far better team than Hunslet.
Can't really think of a standout performer and thought everyone put the effort in.
It was a flat atmosphere in the ground until the referee did his part in livening it up , a try given to Hunslet that on first looking seemed A) Offside and B) If grounded from outside the field of play got a few people annoyed and thus created some atmosphere (notable Mention to the Hunslet number 18 for doing good work in creating some atmosphere , not sure he meant to do that though).
In terms of discipline today was a bad one, yes the official was baffling at times but we should be far better in the discipline stakes - we have enough big game experience in our squad to not react to provocation or from percieved refereeing mistakes.
The positives (result aside) was we did keep going and even with some shortages in personnel we had enough in the tank to beat a fairly decent looking Hunslet side, Littler did enough for the M.O.M for me but I think Nicholson got the official M.O.M (Can't argue with that).
Things are still looking up although in the league I think we will have some tough times ahead if we are consistantly unable to put our strongest team out - I think fans expectations will need managing as for me I'll be happy if we get 5th after everything thats gone on, if fans are expecting top 2nd or 3rd then the players will need to stay injury free.
All in all though a good day out , of more importance (well it is to Mr Dearden on Radio Manc

) was I saw my first SL lorry on the M61, In fact as Jack was at the LSV I bet he only just missed it travelling down from Oldham as I passed it circa 1.20pm heading North near Adlington
