Leeds head coach Brian McDermott:

"My experience of coaching London means I know what it's like being on the end of bad scorelines and I know that Salford's players are not that bad. To concede 70 points you usually ask questions of the players but, on this occasion, Marwan Koukash needs to stand up and apologise to everybody.

"It embarrasses me to be involved in rugby league when there is an owner of a club conducting himself how he is - saying what he wants, when he wants and how he wants. He needs to realise that that is not how to lead a club.

"That group of players are not that bad and what we saw out there was a completely demoralised, shot group of players who lack confidence. It's not because they have had bad coaching or have bad conditions but they are demoralised by what goes on off of the field.

"I wouldn't want to be led by a person who is erratic and says the things he does about his own group of players - that (the scoreline) is absolutely his fault. There are some good people in that team who don't give up that easy so there are questions to be answered and lessons on leadership to be learned by the owner."

Finally someone gets stuck in Big Style..... I don't know what prompted it....Brian Mac must have heard stories first hand from players or ex coaches of Salford.... but he certainly let rip....
there is a rumour that Koukash griped Harris by the Throat in the changing rooms and told him to shut up he wasn't the the coach anymore. maybe that has sparked it off.

I would Imagine Koukash will respond on Twitter with a simple " off "

Well done Brian McDermott.........he's bang on for me; Marwan Koukash wants instant success for his investment and doesn't give jack if and who he offends along the way. He's not good for our sport (my opinion.....)

I have to be honest, I think the world of McDermott. He is an excellent coach, doesn't hide behind soundbites, or Phil Clarke-isms straight from the nonsensical school of stats and is brutally honest about himself and his players whilst maintaining his dignity, integrity and his loyalty to his team and club.

In other words he is the polar opposite of Dr NoClass. I can only hope that he treats his racehorses better than he treats his employees, or he'll have the health and safety executive on his case. He may have saved Salford from financial ruin but in the process he has relegated Coronation St. to being Manchester's second best soap opera.

NoClass is fur coat no knickers meets Ming the Merciless meets Veruca Salt. He probably railroaded the marquee rule through by threatening to hold his breath until all the other clubs gave in or by screaming and screaming until he was sick.

He has probably shot himself in the foot with the marquee. I would guess few players are going to be falling over their heels to play at Salford now.
The rule may put further ground between to top clubs and Salford.

It would be sadly ironic if a club that has hung on like a creaking gate for donkey's years is sent into oblivion by its so called saviour. There must be plenty of talent in that team to string some wins together & isn't Tim Sheens on board now? The owner is now beginning to look like a caricature of the club mascot.

The biggest surprise for me came when Harrison Hanson was revealed to be going to Huddersfield.
This guy turned his back on the pies and gutted Wane.
That spoke volumes, only Moz wanting out can top that. Then the writing is seriously on the wall.

Hansen is terrible though. Still like watching the replay of Morley knocking him in to next week from a few years ago.

They owe Hansen money, that's why he wants out.

It seems I've been right all along about the Fake Sheikh....He's a self-proclaimed multi millionaire...Where's the evidence ? He owes money all over the place...He seems to be paying the bills with IOU's.A person doesn't get to be a multi millionaire by organising booze ups at the Holiday Inn. He's been the worse advert for RL I can remember. He just can't keep his mouth shut about what he thinks about his players and if the rumours are correct he had hold of Iestyn Harris by the throat. His ambitions to sign a marquee player have vanished for who would join a club run by the *Good Doctor" His response from a critique from a much respected RL man such as Brian McDermott was to Twitter *He should shut up*. This from a man who's never managed the knack of silence...The sooner he has gone from the sport the better.

Strange goings on indeed all the players can't be wrong as most seem to have the same issues money owed and or wanting away, whatever it is he needs to show some respect and common decency by engaging with his employees and think before he speaks, the way things are going the future doesn't bode to well.

It can't be easy being a Salford fan ,I genuinely fear for the club ,driving past the AJ today ,I couldn't but think 'what a stupid place to have a rugby stadium ' middle of nowhere!!!
