| It would have been interesting to hear the reasoning behind the decision not to have offered Gareth Carvell a further contract considering that most of the posters on here still think he's a top player in his position.

| Well said Brady ! There is obviously some reason that no one knows the answer to. May be there was a big signing lined that went pear shaped.

Carvell was offered a one year contract but he got greedy and wanted more and got a two year deal offer off Bradford and tried to play it off against the club n the club said bye bye we won't give you a two year contract and withdrew the offer of a one year deal so he had to go to Bradford allegedly

| I'm not convinced that Carvell won't be back at the club. Bradfords financial problems along with the fact that we haven't actually replaced him with anybody else, may mean that we see him again in a Wire shirt.

Whilst I might hope that this was a possibility as I think Carvell has plenty to offer, do you think that the Club/TS could handle or facilitate a 'U' turn? A case of not cutting your nose off....by both parties?
Life doesn't seem to be like that these days

| Whilst I am still a little surprised that Garreth Carvell left at the end of last season I think that London Broncos would be the most likely destination for any players that Bradford end up having to offload.
After thinking about our prop options I am not sure we would need to bring Carvell back anyway to be honest. Hill and Asotasi are international standard props, Woody is solid super league level and England whilst unproven has all the attributes to make the transition within his first year at the club. We then have young Danny Bridge, Glenn Riley and Ben Evans who all need to be given chances at some point, then its up to them to take them and give lord Tony a selection headache.

I think you are right Rico, we will not see him again in Wire colours.

| There are many ways to measure success of course, but it isn't a word I would use to describe the season personally. Home and away defeats to Widnes and a cup semi final which we really should have won will be my everlasting memories of this season. Maybe I am just bitter!

I wouldn't say that you are bitter at all Ganson's, it is all about expectations and living up to them? Our expectations have changed and the semi final loss and the home defeat to Widnes and particulary the manner in which it came were disappointing.
I'm looking forward to next season and if we can erradicate the Widnes results and go close in all comps again then we might view the season differently? Even without a trophy success we will have gone through a possible transition season in decent order and that may be reward enough this time around without talking our prospects down too much.
