Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |

| OK, I know Millenium Magic is there and many will be making plans later in the year but need idea of where to park at Etihad on Wednesday night. I'm working a part-time casual shift at the ground but no "staff" parking. Will be there about 5pm (going by car as I have to travel from my "proper" job in south Manchester_) I know kick-off isnt until 8pm BUT its Real Madrid !!!!
Any help very much appreciated.

| No, he needs to know for this weeks match...when i dropped wife off for a gig there we parked literally just down the road, as you come on the main carriageway we turned right by the traffic lights towards the stadium and parked by the pubs, it was coned off further up but was only about 5 mins walking and didnt cost owt.

Please forgive the question but....on the other side of what road and facing which side of the stadium. I know there is an Asda across Alan Tuning Way and this is a "no-no". There is a CofE school acroos from the south end of the ground (down some back-rounds near a community centre). Is this the one?

Sorry only just seen this. I think it is Alan Turing way, but will check with my husband at lunchtime when he comes home

| Final solution was to park near Ashburys station. Near the traffic lights on West Gorton lane is a little side road/layby (similiar to the one near Borough Arms on corner of Mersey Street). No problem parking, FREE, and 15-20 minute stroll up to the stadium.

| You could just park in official car park. We did last year 10quid and its behind fan zone area. No issues getting in or out. I really wouldn't be worrying about it there's 6 months to plan it. You can even do a few trial runs to see the parking areas described.

As I said in the original post, this was about finding parking for the Wednesday night MCvRM champions league game so i didnt have 6 months to plan it. Was doing some casual work at the Etihad and didnt fancy losing over 1/4 of the wages in parking charges.
