Who are we going to drop after the efforts of our current props this season? Hill was outstanding from day one, Carvell has been fantastic when he's been fit, Cooper really lifted his game for the playoffs and nobody can question Wood's effort after that Grand Final injury! And I don't even have room for Morley, never mind another prop.

| We are only losing Solomona and Blythe out of our top 25 for next year, more likely we'll promote from within rather than recruit anyone.

Really? We have a team that has won 3 cups in 4 years plus league leaders plus a couple of scores off being SL champions. We added Andrew Johns to a squad that had a sprinkling of star players, some good ones with lots of average ones. Now we have a very strong squad with decent depth. Why would we want to go against the direction we are now heading in by spending lots of money on one player?

Because the game needs one......I hope Hull do eventually sign Scott Prince He's got that Hollywood factor. He's a bigger star name than Brett finch, Matt King, and Michael Monaghan. He may not actually be a better player, but well done to Hull FC on raising their own profile and giving themselves a chance with a very good signing When certain big name players are heading back to the NRL.....
are you really saying you wouldnt want a Jonathan Thurston in the wire side for a year or two if it meant Holding Gareth O Brien back from playing every game???

47035_1386433761.gif We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif |

| Jonathan Thurston, are you seriously suggesting using a 3rd of the salary cap on one player???
In 2011 he was the 5th top earner in the NRL behind Sandow in 4th who was on $600,000. That's before the new NRL deal, but you can assume he has held his price if not increased it since the new deal came in.

If that was all it did, yeh then sure of course I'd want him. But be realistic - a top name like that from the NRL wouldn't simply slot in on a normal SL wage. He'd want 3 or 4 times what our own top names earn. So we'd have to make quite a few sacrifices to fit him in. Given that top NRL stars often don't settle straight away, if at all, that would be much too big a risk to take.
With the money now available down under, don't expect to see too many Thurstons coming over any time soon.
