last night was imo breathtaking.Ok people will say Leeds were below par but Wigan were missing key players which didn't seem to affect them.For me without sounding a pie lover they look unbeatable at the moment.Thoughts.

I think you are under-estimating how bad Leeds were...Yes Wigan are good...of course they are...but not that good.

Best Wigan performance I've seen in a long time. Still, you can't detract that Leeds were, quite frankly, awful.

They are a formidable team and if play them when it counts, we'll have to be on top form to beat them. It's exactly the same for them. That said, if I had to pick a Champion right now, it would be Wigan. Hard to compare with the 80s team because the playing field back then was not level.

leeds were awful even widnes would of beat them..they got off to a bad start with limas dropped ball being given as a try and it went down hill after that..fair play to wigan for giving them a lesson...comparing the old wigan team to this lot id say the old wigan team..i.e hanley or oloughlin andy greg to lulu botica to charnley edwards to rat boy...i know who id have

Isn't it strange how Huddersfield were so bad 2 weeks ago. Saints last week and Leeds this week. Any common denominator here?

not really, i think he must have thought your post would have been better posted on a wigan forum rather than a wire one? i know i did,and yes,i know its a rl forum,but still!plus id rather discuss how the wire team are fairing up rather than be bothered to discuss just how good the present wigan team is or isnt compaired to the past wigan team ,still each to their own i say.

IMO its the best Wigan team since the mid 1990s, its better than their Grand Final winning team of 1998, but it would not beat the side of 1995 and earlier.
