What intrigues me more is the England Knights squad thats been announced. I certainly think this is something we have needed in the recent past, because as the article mentions, the step up from England academy to the full England squad is huge. I know we had England A when Great Britain were the national team and this sounds like the same idea, but I don't think it was ever given enough time to prove its purpose before it was axed.

I'd like to know that standard of teams they'll be playing. Will they be playing in the European Cup, or will they be touring the southern hemisphere while the Four Nations takes place up here? IMO I think we should be doing the latter, as the standard is ten times better than what France, Scotland and Ireland could serve up.

I disagree, another meaningless match which a lot of our players will be involved in and could get potentially injured.

Added to this the france game was always on a weekend when Super League was being played which means we end up losing half of our team and potentially 2 points.

Its not like wendyball when they cancel the premier league fixtures so that the overpaid divers don't get too tired and the team is reduced to playing 2nd rate players on a paltry £100k per week.

have they been reading what people have been saying on here. be a better test for them atleast and a worthwhile game to go watch

it was bad enough last year when we had X amount of england players in the squad, to add missing some of our wonderful overseas stars with it as well.
