| Perhaps a daft question to those with the service already, but can you record the game in HD (to disc) and so watch it back in HD?

No, your DVD recorder will downscale it to the normal format that it recognises. A HD recording wouldn`t fit onto a normal 4.7GB disc anyway, their are currently no recorders out their that will record in HD from one HD source to another.
You can record it but it will play back in a normal SD format.

| Gotcha. Thanks.
Separate question. Can SKY+ HD record things in HD and play them back in HD?

| Was thinking of getting the new Panasonic Blu Ray recorder. I was under the impression that i could record things in Sky HD by Sky plussing it and then if i wanted copying it to Blu Ray would keep the HD quality?

You mean onto the hard drive, then play it back from there? I'd imagine so...

The new Panasonic Blu Ray recorders only allow you to record HD content from one of their own built in twin tuners like ITV HD and BBC HD etc, they don`t have an HDMI input port so you can`t connect another HD source like a SkY+ HD box to the Panasonic Blu Ray recorder.

High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) will block you from copying to Blu-ray.

| Cheers for that, didn't know. Well that's £600 i won't be spending.....
Anyone well up on the Panasonic products? I currently have a Panasonic DVD recorder home cinema system that i got about 3 or so years ago. Was looking at replacing and getting a recordable blu ray home cinema system. They only do a player cinema system at present from what i can see. Anyone know anything different? I'm going with Panasonic as i have the Viera Plasma and want to use the Viera link with the system. The DVD system i have doesnt allow Viera link.
