'I've stood up for Myler and I will do again, he's a very exciting player who spots an opportunity brilliantly. But tonight he was poor until the last twenty when the game was won. He needs to improve his choice and execution of pass and kick far better if he's to get anywhere near filling Briers' boots. However, I won't hear any rubbish about his defence, he puts his body on the line and comes up with the try-stopping play incredibly often for a bloke of his size.'

He made a couple of obvious errors tonight but was involved in four tries and put some great work in defence again. I thought he did ok tonight.

Got too agree Myler did make a couple of errors, but was involved in 4 tries and worked hard in defence.

The point about Richie Myler is he doesn't have a problem against far weaker sides but when the chips are down, against stronger opposition he quite often goes missing.

When he played for England he was fine against the likes of Wales and France but when the opposition got better he was largely dissapointing, its very similar with us. He needs to improve his kicking game as well, most of his kicks tonight were nothing kicks, Gareth O'Brien seems to have a fair better kicking game so i'm suprised that Myler seemed to kick quite a bit.

He did ok tonight, not spactacular but would we have expected anything less against a side thats conceding on average 40+ pts per game ?

Against that terrible edge D it would have been a real worry if he didn't do well....

I thought he had a cracking game - offence and defence. one or 2 execution errors but he was very vocal tonight.

Myler played well tonight. lets see more of it.

On the issue of Myler has there been any developments on his move out of the club yet?

Last year when Widnes got promoted there was talk on here that they would be whispering in his ear and tempting him to join and we would struggle to hold onto him once he saw what Widnes had to offer in SL and could want to join their bid for trophies?

And then in the off season he was supposedly loaning a teammates assets without paying rent and was going to leave, has this move gone through yet?

Some people on here baffle me. He was instrumental tonight and had as many errors as anyone on the pitch (and no more). His kicking at times wasn't amazing but I can't believe that Myler is this team's bangbuddy!

I suppose it is a testiment to the quality of the team that a promising youngster and genuinely class player like myler is the one catching for not kicking as well as briers or crab walking like ratboy.
