| I liked a lot of what I saw in t'second half. But we gave ourselves too much to do. I wasn't happy when Connor Wrench lost the ball in the second half, so I'm going to drop him and see if we can clone Peanut this week so he can play at centre and half back next week.
We're low on confidence at t'minute but we will fix a few things up and be better next week.

That probably goes for at least 8 other clubs in the league though.
Its basically a lottery this season, a league of inconsistent sides, all capable of beating the other - our problem is we appeared to have peaked months ago, when it never really mattered and are now meandering along in a pit of mediocrity, not helped by a threadbare squad which should have been strengthened the moment we lost Mikaele.
Powell has to somehow get the side back on track over the next few weeks and grind out a few positive results to stop the chasing pack swallowing us up and overtaking us - if we did slip out of the top 6, I'm not sure we have the mental toughness to claw it back.

Sorry lads, just realised I made a mistake in my post. We wouldn't drop Wrench, we would send him on loan to a rival SL club.

| Let’s be honest it’s not been a happy camp ONCE since he took over, that HAS to sit with him….that is his imprint. Such a shame we’re a good coaching appointment away from winning the lot but this board have backed a wrong horse yet again.

We are not meandering along, we are woeful. Yes there are clubs that are inconsistent, that's their issue. Threadbare squad , don't think I agree with that. Not sure we have anymore injuries than anyone else. There is definitely enough quality available to be performing much better than we are.

We've got barely any academy. We produce about 1 decent youngster every 2 or 3 years. That puts significant pressure on the squad, especially in a salary capped sport. It's why Saints, Leeds & Wigan have dominated for so long.
I agree we should be performing better, but not entirely convinced we have any better a squad than 5 or 6 other sides (and I've thought that since the season started).

You won’t read it in the Warrington Guardian tonight. They’ve done their ‘Wi-Fi breaking up so we’re packing up our feed’ weekly excuse for an early dart.

| Coaches can't have favourites, it affects the rest if the squad.
Actually, I'll correct myself, if the coaches favourite also has the respect of the squad, it works. S O'L at Wigan worked. Our coaches favourite isn't in with the fans and at a complete guess, isn't in with the players.
As soon as you start to have faves, you start to split your squad

| The threadbare squad doesn’t wash with me. We signed a team full of old men, some with injuries when we signed them, some suspended at the time, and one in particular with a notoriety for being a grub.
Can’t be surprised when we miss games through injury or suspension.

| I genuinely think we’ve been better off than most sides with injuries/suspensions. Poor recruitment/wage structure has lead to a top heavy side and no trust in youngsters.
Powell has already done enough damage with next years squad, needs to go before more is done.

Have you been to Cas? It is a fairly credible excuse.
