Just been looking on twitter some shocking comments from wigan fans to Diskin and Delaney such as..

"Your team lack class. Tell McGuire I hope it's ligaments."

"tell your mate mr McGuire that karma is a bitch. Cheating prick"

There was a couple of congratulations from Wigan fans aswell to them so not saying they are all bad!

What happened at the end left a very sour and bitter taste, this is why I havent come on here till now. After calming down, I know we didnt deserve to win, we blew it. We only have ourselves to blame for not winning. But what Mcguire did was a disgrace and ANY set of fans would be going crazy after seeing that, and what Lauitiiti did aswell.

I think you would find a similar thread on any board tbh, particularly in the heat of the moment. Im not sure we can get to the GF now, ive lost alot of confidence in them now. At least im going on holiday toady......

I can see what you mean by many coments on that thread but I could say the same with fans of every team on other threads. Blaming Wigan for everything, and trying to defend McGuire and no mention of Lauitiiti. For some its just another chance to have a go at Wigan. If someone is going to coment on the game then they should have an inpartial view and look at more than one incident. So yea criticise Wigan fans right now, but there are many that arent much better.

The Lauititi thing was just sheer stupidity (and against the Laws of the Game), but the McGuire incident was certainly a foul, however people on the Wigan Board have actually stated that if a Leeds player had made a similar break, then they would have expected their own players to do the same thing. For what it's worth I thing Alibert got it wrong. The McGuire 'tackle' should have been penalised, whereas I thought that Donald was committed to the tackle when Richards kicked the ball. If you play it at normal speed it shows that he is committed. The Leeds players concern was that they thought something had happened to McGuire after the incident.
The anger from other fans is because Wigan fans were called Leeds cheats and their fans scum. There was no mention of the incidents involving the Tomkins brothers who appear to be intent on building up a bad reputation for themselves at the moment. It could be argued that Joel's stupidity actually got Leeds on a roll and cost Wigan the game.
