Sinfield, Peacock, O'Laughlin, Roby. I can give you a list as long as your arm of players who would never give reactions like Ratchford did.'"
I don't dispute we lack leadership, but I don't know which Saints, Wigan, Leeds teams you've been watching for the last 20 years. They have all had a non-stop procession of players wingeing, screaming and waving their arms around in the refs direction. Wellens, Hanley, Edwards, LMS, Walmsley .... but because they played for teams that were the darlings of the media and the RFL they not only got away with it but actually had an influence.
Yeah Ratchford moaned at the ref. Least he looked bothered. I didn't notice anyone else raising a voice in protest.

Well to be fair to him 16-8 down with 15 mins go then Moore gives them a very dubious penalty then floodgates open but apparently he upset Bernard Guasch last season so probably wanted get back in his good books.Shouldn’t ref a SL match ever again.

Yep. He blames 20 year old players, then officials. He should turn his gaze closer to home.
Why he cannot get us to a least look like we train together has nothing to do with a ref.

| Just watch the match on WireTV.
Not read all the posts on here but a few of my observations.
King and Charnley dropped (DP said 'not selected' in the post match interview). So will those on here who criticize the coach give him credit for not being afraid to drop 'names'?
Im not holding my breath.
Wrench, Thewlis, Matautia and especially Robbie Mulhern had good matches (ok missed a tackle on Kasiano that led to a try but overall great workrate).
Currie had a totally unnoticable game but arguably should have done better with defending their first try. JClark did little. Philbin playing below the standards we expect and I thought Cooper had a quiet match. (Penalty against him for incorrect ptb was ridiculous imo).
Still wonder if Daryl is carrying a niggle. I'm of the opinion that Ratch is.
Ok we lost by a shed full in the end but it's a far better display for the first 65 minutes than Ive seen for some time.
I couldn't understand some of the penalty decisions or the Dudson try which was as clear a double movment as I've seen in a long time. It's fair that DP criticizes those but rightly points out that there's things we need to do better. Unlike I've read elsewhere, he certainly wasn't blaming the defeat on the ref.
However we were our own worst enemies for the offsides (in particular).
Do all captains moan at the ref?
Ratch clearly let dubious decisions get to him. Perhaps the captaincy is a poisooned chalice.
Overall we didn't deserve the win, still look a bit clueless in attack, but the score didn't reflect the game for me and overall I thought it was half a step forward.

| I didn't see the game but this season reminds me of Leeds in about 2016 when they completely lost the plot and slipped down to the bottom of the table. I remember watching Leeds on sky and thinking that they still have plenty of good players and there was lots of effort up until 50-60 minutes in most games but then they would fall away. Something was seriously wrong. I know they had Peacock & Sinfield depart the year before but they still had the likes of Burrow, McGuire, JJB, Watkings, Hall et al playing. I remember watching these seasoned guys completely frustrated that things weren't happening. George Williams is like that now along with several other players. Leeds were dire that year but won the grand final the year after against Cas.
I'm sure things will fall into place at some point..

I hope you are right. I'm backing Powell 100%. Warringtons problems have been brewing for years. However for accuracy about Powell :
1) he did blame the Wigan result partially on Riley Dean.
2) he has complained about refs in at least 2 games especially in relation to on field decisions.
3) we look undrilled in attack especially when prop forwards are putting in grubber kicks, this leads people to surmise that whatever we do in training is not making it on to the pitch.

Don’t forget Easter too, that was one of his excuses after the Wigan game as well.

| He’s also hinted at half back disruption causing us to be poor….other teams just crack on. We all knew Powell was an excuse merchant before he came though so we shouldn’t be surprised. The Easter excuse and singling out Dean were really poor form.

| So our woes are due to ...
1. Injuries to a halfback
2. Dean Riley
3. Easter (even though it's the same for all clubs)
4. Referees.
So against Saints 1) will be resolved, 2) will be absent 3) is long since gone 4) is the same for both sides.
So I am expecting a close game.
