| Well I enjoyed that, how long do we leave it before there is talk of a reverse hoodoo? Certainly in knockout rugby? It was a good match, I enjoyed it. I am really looking forward to reading through nonsense excuses and one eyed bias tripe on red vee later.

Some of the usual diatribe on there, how the ref won it for us AGAIN but in fairness some fair posts and acceptance they lost simples.

That’s is my only real gripe with BBC coverage, I think in the last 15 minutes of the game with it being on a knife edge we had a set and they must of cut away 4 TIMES during our possession. So annoying, cut away to a long replay, cut away to Woolf, cut away to Price followed by another cut away to traffic on the M62!! .. I was more peeved off with that then I was with Hill giving away a soft pen on our own try line.

The coverage was absolutely shocking. It was as though the producer had never seen a game of Rugby League before.

Ha yeah, its a realistic croud noise though really. I hope Wigan got a rendition of I'd rather be a pastie than a pie and the famous Wigan rugby went to Rome to see the pope as well.

I agree with the farcical production but surprisingly generally enjoyed the studio input from Wilkin quite fair-minded

The BBC gameday "experience" , is light years ahead of Sky's
Chapman is always engaged
Wilkin is good, JJB and Peacock less so, but at an acceptable level. Davies, Kear and Noble are all good (without the dreaded clichés), and I've never had a problem with Dave Woods. I like the fella.
But yesterday's director needed shooting.
Compare this to the sh0w we now have with Sky, and I'm nostalgic for Eddie and Stevo

I spoke about this not so long ago on our board Lefty how Sky need a shake up. If it was my decision i would have
Dave Woods - Lead commentator
Jonathan Davies - Commentator
Barrie McDermott - Commentator - I know that won't go down well but he is the only one i can stand. His knowledge of the amateur and youth systems is very impressive. He clearly loves RL and if he is moved away from the 'Baz & Tez' garbage i think he would be ok.
Brian Carney - Presenter
John Wilkin - Studio
John Wells - Game analyst
Jenna Brooks - On field reporter.
Stuart Pyke - 2nd lead commentator if they want 2 commentators for different matches.

I would be ok with that. When Eddie n Steve were on their way out he should have been lined up as replacement. I think basically poaching the bbc crew would be ambitious but woods may have been a possibility. It's his enthusiasm that I like I think he will bring out that same enthusiasm with the rest the crew. I think woods n barry mac would do well he would benefit from having an ex player ala jiffy to work alongside
Mu ideal format would be
A pre game analysis from john wells and Brian Carney with what to expect from each side.
Game starts dave woods barry mac commentating with maybe the occasional guest comments.
Wells and Carney with halftime analysis and discuss key points of first half
Second half again woods varry mac commentating with the occasional intersection from touchline and special guest
Post game wells carney woods barry mac n special guest discuss the game in a less formal way with a few key points to cover but allowed to stay and discuss current news or topics that are rugby league related. More like after the football when they sit down and whilst discussing the game it strays to the guests anecdotes from their playing days. Rugby is quite basic and formulaic theres only so many ways of saying the same thing so wells n carneyvstart looking for nonsense's like the way a players foot is facing for the reason why a side has scored !! Weve lost the general rugby current affairs programs like boots n all I think the last 30min could be a lot more entertaining

| Oh nonsense no-one listens to them anyway. We need a complete revamp. In the studio:
Nigella Lawson
Darcey Bussel
Lucy Alexander
Jo Blythe
Fill them with Prosecco half an hour before broadcast and let the fun begin.
Pitchside - Gemma Atkinson. In lycra. Lots of shots of her running up and down the touchline like a heaven sent Robbie Hunter Paul.
Commentators - Shirley Bassey and Kathryn Jenkins. Ditto Prosecco and wait for the comments about squirrel tackles. In gaps in play we can have a sing song (with subtitles so fans can join in).
