it is yed, yes. when first called it i used to blow my stack! now i quite like it.
the irony was that on my first home leave from the army when i'd slimmed down to 12 1/2 stone from 16 c/o basic training they (my mates) called me fatty until i regained the weight!

Born and lived in warrington untill i turned 18 then moved down south to london (gradually getting further north now, bedfordshire then northants!) and my accent was a strong warringtonian one when i first arrived and i was known at work as "that young wooly back" so the wooly thing kinda stuck.
