Wow. Connected, and with intent. It’s worse to help a player up in case they’re injured, than to be the one who injures them. Are there absolutely no avenues for opening up dialogue with the RFL on this, or is it a little Hitlers club?

Makes absolutely no sense. That incident was close to, if not, assault.

| According to the RFL's website, Pele "was referred to tribunal on a Grade E Head Contact Charge after being dismissed in the opening round of the Betfred Super League against Hull KR. He challenged the grading, which was adjudged to be correct."
How then has he only got three games, when Grade E is listed as 4-6 games?

| Quote: The Speculator "Excellent post. There is a group action by over 200 rugby union players that's due in the High Court in April/May, I think. They are suing World Rugby, the Rugby Football Union and the Welsh Rugby Union over concussions and head injuries. The outcome of that case will have major implications for how rugby league moves forward.
But I agree with you that the game we love is in danger of disappearing. The whole 'head contact' thing opens up a can of worms regarding gamesmanship too. Any player who feels the slightest contact on the head is now going to stay down, causing the referee to stop the game, and the video ref to look at a slow-mo replay that makes the 'incident' look much worse than it was. Add in fans going "Oooooohhh" every time it's shown on the big screen, and the inevitable is going to happen. 2024
Sadly, for me that ship sailed some years ago. SL is so poor compared with NRL that the gap is the biggest that it's ever been. I enjoyed watching the world cup games at the HJS, but I'm really struggling to raise enough enthusiasm to get off my backside and into a stadium to watch a live SL match, given the poor product that SL has become.

SL must now be partners with wowcher and Pele had a discount code to use.

Sadly true.
I'm enjoying 8th tier Non-League football far more these days

| There’s not so many players milk a penalty in RL than Sam Powell.
I’d say we might win a few penalties now, but it wouldn’t surprise me, if after all those years at the Pies, the refs have finally got his measure.

Josh Charnley was one of the worst to do this in his time at Warrington. Refs soon got wise to him.

While Wilkin is right here, none of the Sky Sports commentary team raised an eyelid at the time.

| There was a lively discussion at half time last night with Wilkin pulling no punches regarding the lack of consistency from the Disciplinary Panel. There were further head contact discrepancies in the match last night. The time is coming for the Coaches and Players get together as a whole and suggest a way forward. The Disciplinary panel should only be looking at the issues around Red Cards.

Rumours of players/coaches frustration with the current situation, on the other side of the hill;-

| Wilkin went ape again tonight. Mr Sky Brian Carney didn't seem to know where to look and just said "there's a break coming now". He literally had no reply, clearly someone in his earpiece crapping themselves while Wilkin tore the state of the game to shreds. And for once I agreed with the plonker. Got to feel for Tony Smith, another player on the sidelines next week and this time thanks to a ridiculous new rule. I haven't seen anyone say it was a red card yet.

To give Wilkin his due, he is expressing the opinion of the vast majority of fans, most players, and those coaches that haven`t been brainwashed by Cullen and his Emperor`s New Clothes.

I have to defend Cullen here, I was talking with a friend last night who had a long chat with him yesterday he even called him one of the dirtiest players he had known. When asked about the MRP he was told they have to follow the guidelines set by the RFL.
