I guess I don't enjoy watching the Wire as I used to. I think it's the lack of intensity in most of the games. The Widnes game just encapsulated it all for me.

the intensity lacking comes from the fact that our much of our muscle this season has either started off the bench or been sat in the stands longer than they have been on the pitch.

Were you disillusioned with the game when Brian Brady played because the playoff format was even more mickey mouse then, wasn't it just a straight knock out so no advantage for finishing top? Do you remember the year when Warrington topped the league and then Dewsbury won from 8th with Stevo in the team?

It was only in Brady's last couple of seasons that they made it so the league champions were the proper champions.

Personally I think Huddersfield should be crowned champions if they win the league and if Warrington win at Old Trafford from 2nd or 3rd then I wonder how many of our fans will be permanently put off rugby league.

Making it harder to get into the playoffs will make the season more interesting rather than having a team sleepwalk through the season but still finish comfortably in the 8 and only then bothering to turn it on when the knockout stuff comes around.
