| I’ve said before considering what is being dished up for us this season the fans at most games have been patient and willing to give this team the benefit of the doubt. That is now wearing thin.
This is the most painful season I’ve experienced in 40 years and it’s ALL down to the coach. Any booing at future games will more than likely be aimed at Powell and will be totally justified and that will be AFTER the fans have attempted to help this sorry bunch lift themselves.

If what you describe happening does indeed happen, then I will totally understand the frustration, but I'd hope that until that point the fans did their maximum to get behind the team and weren't just sat waiting for the first mistake, so they could jump on the backs of the players, which is what is basically happening now.
Like I said, relegation would be a just reward for some of our 'supporters'....'"
Correct me if I am wrong but many posters on this site have mercilessly criticised the players on here, bad apples, not caring etc.
Including you.
So why pick on Wire 2004 for stating what he believe may happen if poor performances continue. And are the fans booing the players or the way the coach has or has not prepared them for the game. The coach you have faithfully supported, fair enough, it is your choice, but denigrating others who think differently?
Supporters are upset, annoyed and generally ed off with what has happened to our once good club, they have paid their hard earned cash, they have every right to make their complaints known.

I mean, this guy is basically encouraging & supporting people to turn up and get on the player's backs. Then, when they inevitably get beat after putting up a display riddled with nerves and mistakes, this fella will rock up on questioning why the team performed in such a poor way.
I know many fans are worried and just a tad hacked off with the poor level of our performances, but it's about time some of us realised that continually slating the team can't be helping anyone - the team is obviously mentally fragile. Having their supposed fans on their backs from the off (as this pi!!ock is suggesting) can only end one way.
Sadly, I think many on here are now almost willing the side to lose now, purely so they can say 'I told you so' and gain some sort of kudos on here. Just look how this thread unfolded. Not a dicky bird when they were in front. Soon as they went behind, the mob were soon on here.
So basically, my message is - SUPPORT THE love!NG TEAM - they are supposed to be the team you support, not some excuse for trying to look a smart @rse on the internet. If you are going to stand on the terraces just to mouth off like this Wire2004 character, then I'd suggest you stay away and sit at home, because it's definitely more beneficial to everyone.'"
I'm praying that's sarcasm!

| Ok so if Powell did leave what magic coach would we bring in to turn the season round in 6 games, Tony Smith?
Also i understand the frustration with whoever is in charge of our defensive game, BUT and it's a big but.....these are proffessional rugby players who know how to tackle and hold a line. They're not people who have never played a game before and can't tackle unless told how to tackle, they aren't putting the effort in and that's on them for not doing as they are taught.
I've very much been in the Powell camp to give him time and build a culture and squad, and i belived we won't be relegated. But Toulouse can definately beat Hull KR and us and i think Wigan will wipe the floor with us so we'll be level with them and i think we are 50/50 for the drop now. Genuinely nervous now.

Using a football analogy here, go and look at how Everton survived relegation in what was a similarly depressing season to the one we are enduring at Warrington.
Basically it's accepted that a split fanbase had to unite in the final weeks of the season to carry a poor side over the line of safety. I suspect we might have to do the same, yet some of our fans are almost going to do the opposite if the post I originally replied to is true.
By all means, at season's end we can review this disaster of a season, but until then it will surely be more beneficial to come together and become a 14th man on the pitch - that is ultimately what fans are supposed to do and is why the term 'home advantage' is a thing.

| Of course they are professional rugby players who should know the basics but Powell is paid very handsomely to ensure they carry out their tasks, work as a unit etc etc etc. For an entire season the team has performed woefully in a poor standard league.
It is ALL on Powell and anyone could come in and I’m sure we’d see an improvement. I don’t necessarily want Smith to return but let’s say he was coach tomorrow would you be more or less confident of staying up than you are now? Personally I’d be certain we’d stay up.

There isn't a magic coach, but what Powell has done, and continues to do, is not working. Relieving him of control of matters on the pitch would have enough of a positive effect for the match day 17 to play for the club, the supporters, whoever the caretaker coach is and each other. It's a gamble, but well worth taking as I cannot see us winning any of the six remaining fixtures with Powell in charge.

You seem to bè confusing supporters being critical of the teams poor performance with not supporting the club. It is because of their love of the club that they feel so strongly. I have no doubt that they all want the team to do well, avoid relegation and cheer them, however there are a lot of very unhappy people of how the team has been mismanaged this season when they were told that we were building for a better future under a new experienced coach. They feel badly let down and just like you, they make their feeliñgs known.

| It's insane that Powell is still getting a pass by some members on
here. This season is an absolute travisity. Despite the reaching into our back pockets to change the team mid season, the players are still being coached in the same way, leading to the same miserable, spineless results week in week out. The way will wave the white flag, (game after game) as soon as we come under the mearest hint of opposition pressure is absurd, and frankly depressing. Powell was an experiment that sadly hasn't paid off, do we have to wait for relegation until the club acts. Anything has to be better than this dross.

I’m sorry but this is utter garbage. Do you think that when people buy a ticket, drive 50 miles and give up a Saturday they do so just to say I told you so on an Internet forum?
Look, I’ve come across as one of the harshest critics of Powell’s appointment, and subsequent delivery. I’ve had many reasonable discussions on here, sighting my reasons and views as a paying customer. I have not and will not try to do anything to see my team lose and go down.
But, I retain the right to vent frustration at seeing a very capable group, which has seen significant investment, be so poorly prepared physically and mentally to a point that we have won 4 games since February, and can’t get a result against busted opponents with half of a squad.
The board and club are playing Russian roulette with the future of my club, my passion, the thing I do to relax/enjoy. I want to affect change, and that can come in many forms, including protest if I wish. I don’t want to see my club go down, or worse, collapse completely, and to avoid that I can see no choice but to remove the man responsible for preparing the team. Time and resources have been afforded, we are desperate now.

| Does Fitzpatrick and co. realise how serious this is? In a previous post we are in real danger of dropping out of SL, tv money gone, supporters will vote with their feet, sales may possibly be the worst in our history , players signed for next year will probably have a clause in their cintracts about playing SL only, so bang goes the 'monster' pack!
On the positive, Powell & co. will be fired (don't know why, he'll probably be a supercoach..... In the championship and it won't matter if we ship 30+ points in as we'll possibly and I mean possibly score more.
In all my years including the Cas game under cullen I never thought we'd get to this point.
What a fekkin mess, at least we'll be able to watch (if attending the game) all Powells offloads.
Who's responsible for spending SM money he puts in? Bloody disgraceful.
You, whoever puts their hand up is either totally at their job but still enjoys a big salary and Vip gameday, and expect the faithful to have a day out to Cougar Park.... Possibly twice!
g0d help us.
This could be a very expensive 2023 for Simon Moran.
What a laughing stock of British RL we are.
Please Mr Powell & co Foxtrot Oscar.
