I can't think of a single game were I have watched him and thought...thats what a Marquee player looks like. Piss taking of the highest order. You know its bad when Dec Patton comes on and makes us look better.
Having said all that...if he plays out of his skin and wins the Lance Todd at the weekend...he'll be back in my good books!

It may be the case but many others are in that bracket.
Not saying it's right and we shouldn't strive for better but only we can win the double this year.

| I thought most of your team did put 100% in. Just frustrating that so many unforced errors were made and I thought Hill got frustrated by how easily he was being dominated by the Cas pack but to his credit he never took his foot of the pedal but just gave penalties away.
I'll admit Cas did get a couple of iffy decisions when you were denied penalties but last week against Saints we lost the game due to 2 penalties against Meeks which replays showed were no where near head high. And to be fair if you had been given the penalties whose to say you would have scored from them the way your attack kept breaking down early in the tackle count. The one player who stunk the jungle out was Brown who threw or kicked the ball any where rather than be tackled.
Anyway all the very best of luck for next week and I hope you can pull it off.

| Kind of agree with most of that but the best team on the night took the 2 points.
Thanks for the best wishes. A lot of Cas fans wished us well when leaving the Jungle Fri night which was very sporting and appreciated.

| As soon as I saw that Clark, Brown & Roberts were not taking the ball up to the line ... it was obvious we had no chance of winning. All half-backs learn how to keep out of trouble otherwise they wouldn't play so many games. It was a shock to me that the scores were so close.
Thankfully it will be different at Wembley ... but Catalan are a very tough lot.

It doesn't happen that often, even for the top teams. Brian McDermott's Leeds did it in 2015, but remember how many years Leeds could not win the Challenge Cup, and also they were hardly a model of being relentless winners, as their usual model was to be rank average through most of the league season then get it together for the playoffs.
Shaun Wane's Wigan won the Double in 2013, but they lost to Hudds and Catalans the two weeks leading up to the Challenge Cup final, and Hull and Leeds the two weeks after the final, before winning SL from 4th.

| Catalans were absolutely [iawful[/i last night, and their halfbacks did a pretty good self-preservation job themselves.
I'm not naive enough to think either game is a barometer for how Saturday will play out, but our gameplan is clear - come screaming out of the blocks, get in their forwards faces, move them around the park via a good kicking game and quick ptbs and let their big guys (which is pretty much the whole team) blow.

| Catalan have one meaningful game to play this season. If they get injured/sent off etc.
it's not important. We will take a real physical bashing from them and they can be pretty horrible. My money is on them having someone sent off or in the bin.

| What about the theory about going in to the final with momentum.
Cats have had 2 bad losses since their win over Saints. Could that mean they will be undercooked next week? Or will they not give a poop.

I reckon the old momentum bit is over rated. Catalan agree.
It's linked up with everyone should give 100% every minute of every game.
It's not reality.
