No. The bit that interests me, is Sally's "started off sensationally, then tailed off" bit. He's just described Graham Appo. Apparently, he made a career out of this.

At least if Austin did that, we'd be back to where we were with Sandow (or Saints with Barba) and I'd quite look forward to an early season of Austin tearing teams up.

The main thing I want to avoid with a big signing like this, is going through the familiar soul-destroying cycle again:

- "can't wait to see him in the flesh, he could be the man who wins us the Grand Final this year"
- "lets not knee-jerk after 2 games, he's only just got here and he's probably not fully fit"
- "maybe he will get better when the sun comes out and the pitches firm up"
- "why not give one of the Academy lads a chance, or is he undroppable because of his big salary?"
- "I will drive him to the airport myself"

I expect this will be cut and pasted as the season goes on will save certain posters a lot of typing.

It appears that some of you have written Austin off before he has even arrived. Given the guy a fighting chance . Price has had time to assess matters and will get it right. I always felt Roberts was a rushed purchase and what was available there has been more time to assess Austin and how he fits in with Prices philosophy Let’s not pre- determine Austin before he arrives and instead judge him after 10 or 12 games.

So if Austin comes over and produces superb attacking play as barba did, yet we don't make either final, does that make roberts more of a success?

It possibly could be judged a better season because we wouldn't be bottlers.
The 2011 season, when we were knocked out in the playoffs after winning the League Leaders Shield, was probably the peak of the TS era, and we didn't bottle a final.
