I was dealing with your specific posts, not generalities. FMC deals with full recruitment far better than I can.
Interesting points are made though about the improvement in e.g. P Wood and Harrison.Should TS get any credit for that? Or the bad luck in losing Dodds and Grix. As Confucius said "sh*t happens".

| Paul Cullen doesn't get enough credit.
Couldn't reap what he sowed.

| Not sure PC didn’t get credit. I can’t think of anyone who didn’t want him to succeed, he just couldn’t get the team to the next level.

The situation with Bridge who was our main 6 screwed things up for PC. Bridge let PC down.
Had we had been running at full cap...PC could have had another hb to run with instead of 5/8 hb wannabes ...then when we get one...Andrew Johns goes and let's PC down.
By the time Monas arrived time had caught up.
I still think PC has unfinished business...had things gone following on from Huddersfield away...I'd have brought him in a caretaker coach.

| Surely the biggest let down was the "socialising" that was apparently endemic under PC?

| PC got a lot of credit and a lot of patience from Warrington. I can't knock his signings, well maybe Warren Stevens but we were desperate.
Shame he couldn't separate himself from being "one of the boys" or coach any effective defensive system. (we conceded about 18-20pts per game on average)

| Sullivan was much better as a hooker than half back. Didn't Johns only come over for 3 games anyway ?

Yes..but he'd agreed a deal to come over 12 months later.
So PC played with what we had until Johns arrival and then missed the opportunity to sign a replacement with his dubious drugs bust announce.

| .....so Bridge and Johns both let him down while Sullivan and Monas(Johns replacement) being 5/8th wasn't ideally suited to play a British hb role.

| But Sullivan insisted he was a scrum half and that was the basis on which he was signed (and sold to the fans if I recall correctly). There were a few players who let PC down at various stages.

Both Sullivan and Monas were both 5/8 with hb experience, brought in to play 7 and clearly neither were suited to the conditions for the UK. I don't think it's a coincidence that NZ or those from south sea islands are better suited to the UK game and seemingly never having the need to adjust.

What was "dubious" about his arrest?
