We look to be getting someone from the NRL but I'd prefer not to unless they're going to bring exciting rugby.

The NRL is the premier competition of the sport because of the players that play there but not because of the rugby the coaches have them playing. I really hope we don't bring over someone who'll have us playing yawn inducing, one-out, modern Aussie-style rugby league!

I think it was on that NRL 360 programme that they were discussing Origin Coaches and the general agreement was you don't have to do much coaching.
It's three games you just have to get your selections right.

Even Fatty Vautin coached Queensland to a series win.... he hadn't coached before that and never coached after it.
Mal Meninga is the greatest Origin coach there has ever been but he's now coach of Australia....(another tough gig ) because he was hopeless at club level coaching Canberra and no other club has ever been interested.

Who do you think calls the shots in the Queensland Camp Kevin Walters or Smith Cronk Thurston and Slater......???

I'm also Guessing Gareth Southgate isn't sought after more than Guardiola, Morinho, or Klopp.....???

On this thread I've been posting the current betting on the next coach,it's not changed since last time I posted and I check it regularly, well it's gone. So I'm wondering as a coach been appointed or an offer made that's caused the betting to disappear.

Don't know what to read into this but it could be as you say that an offer has been made.

I'm surprised Smith's departure didn't even get a mention on the SL show. Maybe one of either Iestyn Harris or Denis Betts is our new manager.

Very odd, I just went to look at the betting, Pay is still 4/5, but it's the Maguire into 5/2 maybe Karl is into him like a terrier and won't take no for an answer and odd because Maguire as stated he does not want to leave Sydney.

Don't know who this bloke Sydney is but he can't be any worse as an assistant than Agar so why not hire him, too?

Has he publiciy stated that though? He's definitely interested but we're not his first choice unfortunately.
