| We lost v Hull it was a good game, we lost v Saints it was a good game, we lost v you, it was a terrible game...not bitter just saying the game was dogs**t. If you disagree then I'm glad I don't have to watch Huddersfield every week.

| And when you played hull and saints what were the conditions like? I'm not saying it was pretty but that doesn't make it less enjoyable for me. I appreciate the graft, the teamwork and the tactics.
Do you watch very much rugby outside of superleague. And you must have forgotten winter rugby if you were ever there. Rugby is not all fancy passes and full lengthers. Having Sandow out there would have made little difference because the conditions didn't warrant fancy passes. It demanded a game where you defend hard, respect possession play out your sets and play for territory. A tactic that hudds worked to perfection. Wire did the first bit but failed with the rest. You didn't kick smart- it was a case of boot it and hope for the best. The twice you did kick smart once with a spiralling bomb into the pelting rain and swirling wind that came off for you - but then you tried to force the pass in terrible conditions soon after. The other was the kick to the corner and it was just fantastic defence that prevented you scoring. a shame the stats aren't available because id say you made more metres per carry than we did, and I bet the tackle count was high for both sides. Michael Lawrence made 60 tackles for us in that game. Tactically you got that game wrong.

| I almost wrote about winter rugby and the low scores, but we never had wrestling rucks then and teams had their own individual styles. Friday was drive, tackle, drive, tackle etc.
Or in our case drive, tackle, drive, knock on.
Not fussed on the reasons or the conditions as to why it was tedious, it was tedious non the less.

| Put it this way I'll be fast forwarding through it when I record Super League Fulltime this week.
I can totally understand Huddersfield fans being happy with the win but to try and dress up Friday nights 5 drives and kick, mistake ridden mud bath as some kind of classic??
Well I'm sorry but I hope the weather gets better very soon.
Oh and I was there during the winter rugby days and saw some awful conditions played in by part time players, Friday night was as bad a game as I've seen. ( I started watching RL in 1989).

| I was there in the 60s ,this time of year, horrible conditions....Workington nil-nil at Wilderspool & dodging the pennies thrown from the back of the stand for the blanket collection. Leeds in a CC quarter final on a Wednesday night in February/March in the Wilderspool mud ,lost 3-2. Both heavy slogs in terrible playing conditions ,but in spite of the horizontal rain & sleet the Leeds game was very absorbing. Not good for the faint hearted.

Was the Leeds game a replay with a Jackie Melling a disallowed try? if so I was there too, not throwing any coins though, I've attended some games on freezing nights at Thrum Hall never thought I was going to thaw out.

The coins was the Workington game because i was stood in the big shed, where they put the snooker hall ,because the rain was that heavy (used to stand near tunnel normally).
I think the Leeds game could have been a replay while it was midweek. Nailbiting to the end & without many points.
Another nailbiter was the day we beat Saints 6-4 at Wilderspool in a quagmire. It was raining & i think it had rained for days before. Saints hadn't lost for months i believe.

| The stats are now available and I was correct- your forwards made masses of metres per carry. We carried the ball 60 times more than you did yet both sides made similar amount of tackles you made just 10 more and missed fewer than we did. Difference is we respected the ball in bad conditions and you didn't. All your work was at the wrong end of the field for the most part. Wrong tactics.

| For Cliff's sake.
It's Tuesday morning, and there's STILL a Yarkshiremon going on about a Friday night victory.
Even the Worriers have the good grace to stop, by the time Ant ' Dec have come on, the following night.
Give us a break.

| They might start campaigning for a trophy to be given out to the winners of this game in future.. Maybe the "Seabrooks Crisps Hudds v Wire Challenge shield" !! Yeah !!
Early on in the season though when the weather is terrible as that makes for the classic games !!

Although to be fair they've had very little else to shout about this season and it's a back handed compliment that we are seen as a decent scalp? Nothing to get aerated over IMO

| Well i for one think its great that after last year, leaving it till the very last game to hit the annual huddersfield slump, they decided to try and do it from week one, thats really really bold tactics cotton, lets see if it plays out.
