Last time we recruited this much we had to fight relegation lol.

We recruited an awful lot more in that year. The problem was that we recruited an awful lot of players who had already been kicked out of the last chance saloon and a coach whose ideas were bizarre to say the least.

40 in 2001 (trialing everyone towards the end of that season), and then 37 in 2002.

We used 28 players this year (joint lowest with Wigan and Leeds), Wakefield used 40.

Was Sid a native Aussie then ? He looked more to me more like an islander who qualified as being Aussie.

Slight clarification. Sid Domic is an Aboriginal Australian. We should remember that not all "indigenous australians" are Aboriginal. Consider the Torres Strait Islanders, like Sam Thaiday, for example.
