Thing is, ask someone to stop and they'll just say no as they aren't break a rule. 'Tough' is the word. It's only a minority of saddos who are blowing it into something bigger than it is who cares.

I'm going to throw my opinion behind the lobby that this is a bad thing or at least a backwards step. Sure it's not illegal but as a club we are judged by the company we keep. Emirates is one thing an e-cig vaping company is another and not in a good way as far as I'm concerned, hence the need for all the rhetoric about 'health benefits' when it's purely about the pound notes.

I'm not calling for a boycott or a protest, or threatening to hand my season ticket back. If you want to stand next to me and vape, I couldn't care less. I just think, like Uncle Rico says, it's a bad move for the club to associate and promote with such companies and then talk about health and fitness.

Vaping does not produce smoke it produces vapour. Anyone terrified by vapour had best stop boiling a kettle or having a hot bath.
i get some peoples concerns about the nicotine content(purely based on cigarettes) but practically everthing sold at the ground that is consumed is bad for your health such as pies, pizzas, alcohol, pop etc and the reasonthey are sold is to make money. None of them are on sale for health reasons.
There is no evidence that vaping effects the health of anyone yet 10,000s of people die of alcohol related illnesses every year and nobody is calling for a ban on that at the ground.
If i saw a grass snake i would be wary of it injecting me with venom. Thats cos i associate snakes with venom.

The line spun about the tobacco companies introducing this for the good of our health is just utter tripe. Either smoke or bloody stop smoking.

As an ex smoker- I think its probably cos nicotine is a stimulant like coffee. My missus cant seem to move without a coffee first thing.

Hardened smokers don't seem to take to vaping though, my parents have tried and rejected them.

The whole idea seems to smack of tobacco companies having their cake and eating it. And I bet they turn out to be just as bad for your health (give it a few years and something onerous will appear in the media).
