| Heard the radio commentary of Wiggins powering home, and it brought a lump to the throat. FANTASTIC.
Slightly aside. Swimming, rowing, cycling and most form of athletics, is (as someone once said) sport for the talentless. You don't need to be skillful, just have a MASSIVE lung capacity, and spend ages in the gym.....BUT
AND IT'S A MASSIVE BUT
We have world leaders in these sports, and I for one, am made up.
Rule, Britannia (and #### off with all this Team GB, cobblers. It's GREAT BRITAIN, ffs )

Bradley's son was at Sam's training day a week or so back.
RL and Wigan NEED to use his RL appreciation as much as possible.

So what.
I'm on first name terms with Tomkins. Unfortunately, my mum will tell me off, if I use such language, and a Bobby will clip me round the ear, if he hears me using that word.

Call him Tomkins FFS, you're not his Dad. All wigan fans getting wet dick cause he has a Wigan bootbag. Cringeworthy.

| Apart from a bit of publicity, I don't see how they can use Wiggins to promote RL or Wigan.

to quote Withnail and I...."what chuffer said that?"
they are clearly s of the grandest order.....I'm not a swimming fan and i don't stand by this Phelps love in either. The swimmers appear in so many variations of their sports the medal tally's they can attain are silly. its like Usain Blot appearing in a 60m 100m 150m 200m race and then a relay of each event and then going wow 8 medals that's extraordinary that marathon runner only got one the loser.
but back on Swimming the absolute perfection of each and every stroke is simply amazing. they don't just dive in a slap around.
compare that to English International footballers that cant hit a huge target from 12 yards away under no physical pressure ........
thats due to technique, if they trained with the same dedication as swimmers or track and field athletes they may be better.....

So petulant!! Call him what the f*** you like, you can call him gator face for me. That won’t change the fact that he is one of the best, if not the best in SL?

Swimmers and other GB Olympians continue to win gold medals in their ( apparently skill-free ) disciplines . England's mega-skilful wendyballers have won sod-all since 1966. The conclusion isn't difficult to reach.

doesn't that kind of prove his point?
England aren't skilled enough (not enough people, not as well trained, not as devoted as those in Brazil, Spain, Argentina) to beat those who are genuine class
You notice that states with a high population and vast wealth (USA, China, Germany) are the best at the 'unskilled' sports- swimming etc
