It would be coley, hoffman, Hock, O'Loughlin and Tomkins not playing for Wigan. We'd give them 50 if that was the case.

Warrington have not played any match this season with their first choice 13. There has been at least one player missing. The nearest we got to was the 1st match of the season when Carvell was missing.

Likewise with Wigan!

Have been quite fortunate though to be fair. if you had Tomkins out for any length of time you'd be struggling IMO.

I doubt that any club has. That's the nature of rugby league. Teams just deal with it and use a full squad.

At the end of the day who ever wins the Wire v Wigan game or who ever wins the league shield will be forgotten come Old Trafford in October.

The lad never seems to get injured for some reason! I don't think we would be struggling without Sam as much as people think, we would still be there or abouts, definitely in the top 3. We have good enough cover for Tomkins in the short term.

With Fielden out all season, O'Carroll out for most of it, Pat out for a bit at the start, Roberts in and out of injuries, Gleeson going, Carmont on one leg, Hock only coming in half way through. We haven't done too badly, it's just how you cope with the injuries. Even Goulding who was 2nd top try scorer last year, can't get a game now.

I think that's what will be the difference between Warrington of 2011 and Warrington of 2012, you will have a far stronger squad with good depth, which we be able to see you challenge that one step further in both the league and cup!

The fact is that in Rugby League you definitely need a strong 19 or 20 players, who can come in and do a job when neccessary.

I agree most sides, the top ones especially, have 3 or 4 key players, who, when missing, definitely make a difference to a side's chances.

However, ask 100 Wire fans in a Family Fortunes stylee, there 'first choice Wire 13' and I would guess you might find about 5 or 6 different answers.
