50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

He has the potential, little while longer yet though. Better than Foster already mind!'"
Fair enough - not sure he'll be able to iron out his defensive failings to the extent I'd put him up against an Australian winger.
Agree that he's better than Foster. He's average to good, suspect he'll play a lot of games because of his goalkicking alone which is superb.

It's harder to get at Foster though, to highlight his weaknesses. Against Wigan, we just kept coming back at Charnley and he had no answers. When the sides meet again, I think I know where our attack wll focus.

| Myler really..... his good in our team because we make so many breaks and his a great support player, but he is a weakness in defence at times as we saw with Wigan first try in the Cup, think we need a 7 with more creativity and a good kicking game. at Intenrtaional level.

| Brough seems to be the current choice. Lomax has also been called up to the full squad from the Knights.

| Sinfield is an all or nothing player, he should be picked if you want him for his goalkicking, positional play and to a lesser extent distribution. If picked he would need to be focal point for the attacking plays, i dont think he has that quality at this level, so he should be left out IMO.
Picking him and Lockers does not work, if your going to start with O'Loughlin, forget Sinfield
Quote: Ron "Myler really..... his good in our team because we make so many breaks and his a great support player'"
Exactly, he hasnt got an ounce of creativity but is the best support player in the league for me. I'd put him on the bench for that reason

| Where do people get this "no creativity" lfrom with Myler. The Majority of our attacks are set up by him. How many tries have our left edge scored?

Agree here

But that bit is rubbish. He had a poor game in the QF, Hodgson had a stinker, doesn't make you a poor player overnight. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
Myler has come on leaps and bounds this year especially in organising the attack, taking 2nd receiver more and more. He's still a long way from the finished article but he's a talent no doubt. FWIW I would pick Widdop & Brough as I don't think Myler's quite ready, mainly due to Brough's kicking game is probably the best in the league and something we'd need to try and negate Slater, Yow Yeh & Morris on kick returns.

| 1. S.Tomkins - Easy choice
2. Briscoe - Best winger
3. J.Tomkins - seemed to do alright there for Wigan and can defend better than others
4. Reed? - No idea what he is like, seen little of him. Just taking other peoples views.
5. Hall - Not many to pick from so I have to choose him
6. Widdop - Seems a class act
7. Brough - Kicking game alone
8. Mossop - Form prop, won't happen though
9. Roby - Easy choice
10. Graham - Easy choice
11. Westwood - Only starts because Burgess is out
12. Ellis - Top player in NRL
13. O'Loughlin - Don't know who else to choose
14. Crabtree - Done okay in Internationals
15. Carvell - Good form this year
16. Wilkin - Superb season
17. Pryce - cover all backs well, played in all of them

| The problem will be when 3 or 4 first choice (whatever the first choice 17 is) are injured.
How we cope with missing players will be crucial and where the coach has most influence
Oh just remembered who the coach is.......we're knackered

| I never do these things but I think I wont be far off:
Tomkins
Briscoe
Bridge
Shenton
Hall
Widdop
Brough
Graham
Roby
Peacock (shouldnt but will be)
Ellis
Westwood
O'Loughlin
Robinson
Morley
J Tomkins
Griffin
I wouldnt mind seeing Sinfield at 9 again like in 09, I thought he did really well tbh and O'Loughlin could play 12 if we wanted to go with a battering ram loose
