| Not gutted in the slightest. We matched the mighty Wigan for most of the game and they nicked it. Remember we were missing Benny, Grix and Bridge for most of the game. Roll on next season. I can think about 9 other SL clubs who would gladly swap our season for theirs.
Finally, what a game, amazing.

| If you genuinely can't see the positives then...wow.
Cas are being assest stripped, so much for their good season.
Wakefield probably finishing bottom
Saints are losing their coach, Walsh will be gone end of 2015, their main man is Travis Burns.
Leeds golden generation are in the golden years of their career.
Hudds are THE bottlers
Catalans are the danger men for next year BUT their travelling kills them.
Bradford...gone
London...gone
Hull FC
Hull KR lost yet another halfback
Salford all mouth, literally
Widnes have their two cup matches v us and then become irrelevant
The only club to fear are Wigan.

Absolutely, and Wigan have already confirmed they will pretty much be going with what they have plus the signing they have made so Wires 2015 already look stronger than most. Yes, the feted Wigan youngsters will be stronger next year ........... but so will ours.

Exactly - Since 2009, there has been 12 trophies on offer ..... Leeds have won 4, we have won 3, and, after next week, Wigan will have won 5 - no other club has had a sniff, or even looked likely to get close.
Its disappointing we have fell short again, but considering how inconsistent we have been for most of the year, to come so close to another GF date was a pretty decent effort, especially how we have done it without an established half back partnership.
With a bit of natural progression with the youngsters over winter and our new signings (who look pretty useful), next season, and a fair few after, should see us continue challenging for the big prizes, which is all any supporter can ask for - Nobody has a God-given right to win trophies.

| Would anyone else liked to have seen Hock come on in a Wire shirt midway through the first half?

With only three trophies to play for (and I'm being generous including the LLS) the margins between tangible success and agonising failure have never been tighter. On that basis, and given the club have delivered the kind of success I could only dream about a very short time ago I'm happy to put my dissapointment to one side, reflect on the positives and leave the likes of proud, genuinely-underachieving clubs like Hull, Huddersfield & Bradford to wear the also-ran badge with justification.'" ]

| Just as an fyi about this - this was our transition season:
Of the 4 semi finalists, Warrigton fielded the oldest team average (27.1), 2 years older than the youngest, Wigan (25.1). Saints (25.3) and Catalans (26.9) were inbetween.
There's still some more pain to come...

| Ive never felt so proud and optimistic after such a gutting loss.
Really agree with Wire Yeds list as well. Can't wait for next season.

We're replacing M.Monas with D.Clarke
Waterhouse is leaving
Westwood is being ushered out to be replaced with B.Evans, Currie etc. over the course of 2015
So the average age of the squad will continue to come down naturally, but with a set of battle-hardened youngsters stepping into the breach to replace the players who have piushed the average squad age up.
I don't anticipate any pain, quite the opposite..

| Well the level the likes of Hull FC are at now is the level we were at for a long time, and with the annual exception of two matches against St Helens, I enjoyed watching Wires a lot more then. The end of the season never felt as absolutely devastating as every single one of them has since 2011 that's for sure.
The single hardest thing to take in sport is high expectation combined with continuing failure and that's exactly where we have spent the last four years.
Either win it (unlikely) or just go genuinely rubbish again (more likely) because I'm absolutely sick to death of feeling like this.

| Nobody bottled it, you're just being ridiculous.
We lost a game that was decided on fractions and could have gone either way, playing away from home against the defending double winners and likely champions.
Who bottled it when we were getting panned in the first half and had none of the ball and had to defend all half, and we ended up going in only narrowly behind?
Who bottled it when we lost the lead in the second half after being well on top and then pulled it back level?
Who bottled it when we had to go to Cas away, the form team of the year?
Who bottled it when we were 18-0 down at half time against Widnes?
Who bottled it when we had a crap start to the season, and the whole team and coaching staff was under pressure, and everyone was saying we were leaderless and rudderless?
Who bottled it when we lost Briers, Hodgson, Morley and Carvell, four of our greatest all time Wire players, all in one go, and had to replace what they gave us?
Chris Hill stood with having to shoulder the burden of two legendary props retiring and take on our main go forward role, did he bottle it?
Chris Bridge had to step up and be our key player after Briers had gone, did he bottle it?
Matty Russell got a knock that would have had anyone on this forum signed off work for about 6 weeks, how did he play in the biggest game of his life, did he bottle it?
Roy Asotasi has been called our worst ever signing, did he bottle it?
Lets hear who actually bottles it at Warrington Wolves and take some proper action.
Maybe a proper owner, like Koukash, would not have put up with a team bottling it. He would have gone and told the fans how he felt on Twitter and guaranteed we won't bottle it next season. Simon Moran won't do that, he will bottle it.
Koukash would have had TS's P45 ready for him tomorrow morning, as we've bottled it too many times.
I'm hoping Simon Moran will bottle that decision too.
