Warrington RLFC: The Wire, NOT Warrington Wolves FORZA WIRE:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_46584.jpg

Quote: Ganson's Optician "Is it bad that I would be thoroughly peed off if I sat down and there was a baby next to me?'"

I would be as well. I've got a four year old nephew who lives in Warrington and I intend taking him the match in a few years, but I see no point at all in taking him now. 18 months is absurd.

Not at all....Not as bad as a female friend of mine though, who went to a sy ballet at Manchester Opera House and had a woman in front of her who had took along a 4 month old baby, which proceeded to whimper and cry throughout.... When confronted at the interval, the woman said she couldn't get a babysitter so she thought it would be ok to fetch the child - Amazingly, despite several people voicing concerns (obviously too middle class at a ballet to actually kick off!!), those in charge allowed her and her child to stay to the end, though my friend and her small group did get refunds when they complained by email a few days later.

I can't believe a baby crying disrupted your enjoyment of a match with all the other noise that was going on around you & i can't imagine an 18 month old baby would be offended by a song about the Wigan team going to see the Pope. Get a grip!

But i wouldn't take any kids to the final under ten years old .

I would agree with Walter, get a family ticket. I have bought family tix this time in corner block N2413. £70 for 2x£30 and 2 x £5 for kids, job done. I had to ring the RFL tickets hotline as the online ticket site only gave family tix in the Wigan end. You could always ring the RFL and ask the question if you have to pay for the toddler. Good luck

I took my son to his first game when he was 2, and he loved it. He's had a season ticket every year since. He does struggle sometimes with the Friday night games after an action packed week, but he sees as a bit of a treat, being able to stay up late.

I've posted on here before that he still goes on about Hull away when we won the LLS being the best day of his life. I therefore find it strange to read comments suggesting that it is inappropriate to take young children to a rugby game. Crazy talk. Bring them all, young and old. A toddler under the supervision of responsible parents will enjoy the day out.

in total agreement with you mate..bring em all and let them catch the rugby league bug it gets them away from there games at home..to hear some comments on here you`d think they themselves never had a childhood and that they to were kids once..pathetic really..but we are all entitled to an opinion

We are taking our eldest lads (15 and 17) but not out ten year old as we took him last year and felt the whole rather tense atmosphere around the pubs and in the ground isn't something we wanted for him again.

18 months is too young really. My lad was five when he first went and as much as he enjoyed it, he didn't really know what was going on.

The problem with one so young is that being in a 70,000 noisy crowd that has the potential to turn nasty could be too overwhelming for them, and that will spoil your own night.

If you really think they're ready, take them to a Catalan or London home game not the Grand Final. Get a baby sitter and enjoy the match.

If you can't get a sitter fair enough, otherwise why bother, they won't remember it.

Go for it. Been taking mine since 6 months old! Take advantage of the free tickets. For wembley finals you had to get a ticket but free if under 2. So should be same for GF if you ring RFL or go to club with birth certificate or passport. The only way it seems for finals to get junior tickets are getting the family tickets which are 70quid this year for 2 adults and two kids. But considering there in the 30pound a ticket range its a bargain even if you only have one kid you save.

Unfortunately you are wrong as the RFL wanted £40 for my 4 year old daughter to go with her grandparents... It's absolutely disgusting that the RFL can charge full price for a child, especially when the game is supposedly a family game...

I say go for it and take your 18 month old. Can't believe some of the negative 'oh they are too young' comments on here! We are a family game! I took my little lad to his first match when he was 3 months old - Widnes v Saints - and although he slept through most of it, as a parent I was so proud to take him to the rugby. My dad was there too so it was a proud day for him as well. I have tickets for the England v Ireland match at Huddersfield which my little lad, who is 18 months old now, will be coming to. He will be much more aware of surroundings this time and I'm really excited about taking him.
It's up to parents to decide whether or not they take their kids and when they take their kids, but the sooner kids get used to the atmosphere and noise etc, the more they will love to go.
As a Dad, I can't wait until Jacob is coming most weeks to games.
And on a side note, good luck on Saturday. I am a Saints season ticket holder and will be backing you all the way as I cannot, simply cannot, back Wigoon.
