I thought John Fieldhouse went to Widnes before going to Saints.

Lets not cut our own nose off. GOB is a talent, but needs games to eradicate the errors and to learn the game at the top level. Lets use Saints, send him there on loan, ply his trade there for the rest of the year (with a recall clause) and let him develop. He'll get the errors out of his system and learn a lot, then come back to us a better player.

With this stupid U16s/ U19s system it is hard for clubs to let young players develop. Ridiculous.

I wonder if he and Briers are set to start in the halves. It would give Richie Myler a well earned break.

GOB needs games to toughen his body up as he seems to get injured too easy. We all look forward to seeing him whem Briers gets injured but pretty much straightaway he gets an injury and we are back to square one!

I hope that this turns into a great opportunity for GO'B to develop his career with us, rather than some part of an exit strategy.

I'd like to see a bit more of him and injuries apart I thought we'd have seen Ratchford at 1 and him at 6 on a few occassions this season.

I'm sure we will retain the services of GOB going forward. He just needs games. When playing regularly, he is very good, but as anyone would struggles in one off's here and there.

You are rumoured to be signed Brierley from Leigh, who is another young halfback/fullback. Perhaps O'Brien is one too many, given you already have Myler, Ratchford and Briers for next year?
