But then he urged caution in not chasing his career too far (in trying to outlast Paul Johnson and Sean Long) and said something like "it's one thing to come off the field having left nothing behind but he needs to ensure he has something left when he walks off" and then looked utterly confused as he realised his contradiction!

The last one was brilliant.

the worst one he came out with was when he was saying how special wigans defence is , i know he cant be biased on tv but to big up the enemy like that made my skin crawl lol

I don't understand why teams don't go for the 1 more often, you get the ball back 6 more to go, especially last 10 mins, just as a time wasting tactic too.

Don't necessarily get the ball back - 4 points up, go for the 1, 5 points up. Short kick off, lose the ball grab and the opposition has 6 tackles starting on your 40 mtr line.
