| I bought my 10 tickets for the final months ago but last week rang to find they were not on the Wires side of the ground, so got the seats changed. Can't say I'm sorry because I'm not sure I would enjoy sitting with Wigan fans even if we're not there. Am I right in suspecting that the majority of Warrington fans will be hoping for a Hull win?

3 tries a piece, how does that make Hull hungrier?'"
Because your a better side and they had to work harder then Wire did to keep the opposition out?
Just a theory. I do actually think Hull looked more enthusiastic in defence but it comes back to them having to be because the Wire side is probably the best attacking side in the league. When you had the ball things just weren't dropping and it wasn't for the want of trying. The problem was the more errors you made the more frustrated you became.
It'll be a great learning experience for the play offs IMO.

| Not only do I agree with Horatio Yed but I think he has invented a new form of verse to rival the Japanese Haiku.
Quote: "Higham catches the ball and we have a try
Riley doesn't knock on we have a try
Hodgson kicks goals instead we have a draw.
So Hull wanted it more?'"

| After calming down i have finally had the courage to watch the game back on tv. We were nowhere near as bad as i thought when leaving the ground. Riley, Higham, waterhouse and ratchford should all have scored in my opinion. It just wasn't our day on attack and we still managed 3 tries to their 3. It's not as if Hull had us on the rack and we only kept them out due to scrambling defence. In fact they made very few clean breaks in the entire game. We gifted them the lead and as yed says, they are a good defensive side and if you give them something to hang on to they will. The only thing i am concerned about is that i was sure they would have to play differently to the way they played at the hj to beat us again. They didn't. They used the same tactics and it worked again. Why weren't we prepared for their excellent kicking game? No pressure on Holdsworth at all.

| They kicked on 3&4 quite a bit, they did try to charge down but Holdsworth always seemed to give himself enough room.

| like wise, people say briers kciking game was poor, they had the backfield pretty well marshalled with their back three, there wasn't a huge amount we could do with it at times.
Perhaps trying to take it wide once or twice to unsettle them.

I finally watched the game back today and agree, I don't think we played as badly as I thought whilst walking out of the ground.
Very simplistic to say it, but goal kicking cost us. Obviously, kick all three and (assuming all other aspects of the game went the same way) we win 18-16. Even converting just one try could have made all the difference as Hull wouldn't have been able to spoil in those last couple of minutes knowing that conceding a penalty could bring the scores level.

| Missing the point, my point is one team trying harder than the other, which is ballcocks, a rub of the green and the result goes the other way.

| Ok my point IF that's IF Monaghan catches it and scores, does that mean Hull then didn't want it more, and that our players DID?
People say Hull wanted it more, that's the statement i'm saying is rubbish, i'm not debating moments in the game.
Monaghan scoring means we tried and fought well.
Monaghan NOT scoring means we didn't try as hard and weren't hungry.
So that last second in the game decides the effort for the other 79 mins and 59 secs? NO!
It would have decided the result but certainly not the effort by either team.

| I'm with Yed on this one
I get totally ####ed off with these "Americanisation" and "buzzquotes" coming into our sports
"THEY WANTED IT MORE" Try telling that to Adrian Morley and Gareth Carvell, who'll (more than likely, sorry any Salford and Bradford fans), who'll never walk out at Wembley again. Or Currie or Grix, who've never played there (yet).
We even have it from our "expert analysists" on the telly
Robbie Hunter Paul "Geez, the Hull guys are pumped for this one".....so our's weren't, eh?
NO, THE HULL PLAYERS DIDN'T WANT IT MORE
THE HULL PLAYERS WERE BETTER IN SCORING MORE POINTS, AND NOT MAKING MORE MISTAKES THAN US.
Putting it simply (and not taking too much away from Hull), we were masters of our own downfall. SIMPLE.
Dust yourselves down Wire.
When it's CC Final week, HAVE A WEEK OFF (we've not had many weeks off in the last few years). RELAX, DON'T OVERTRAIN.
We need a fully prepared squad for the play-offs.
I fully expect Mr Smith to have us fully prepared for a Grand Final. WE DON'T NEED A DAMP SQUIB END TO OUR SEASON.

| You cant play this sport half d. You'll get found out or injured or both, it requires 100% commitment. We wanted it, you wanted it, we played better. Fantastic game and a great advert.
