I think that he'll still be able to use the internationals to complete his ban, even though he's no longer in the squad, based on the fact that he is a regular and would have been included were it not for the ban. This is what happened with Dudson last year even though he wasn't picked for the Wales squad.

| If he isn't able to serve them for the England games, then it effectively becomes a 5-game ban

Good point

Interesting point, if it works one way, it should for another.

Because, A. He hasn't played internationally since 2019 and B. He plays over here and won't get picked.

I imagine we have the legal team of Lionel Hutz, The lawyer Bill Murray plays in Wild Things, Dustin Hoffmans lawyer in Sleepers and Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny.

| Only Alfie Langer as I’m aware played State of Origin while still at Wire.
This also made him selectable for the Green and Gold.
So the loophole is there, and if Vaughan was selected for SOO, any test games would have counted
I can only assume Vaughan was either not selected for SOO at the time just prior to his infamous c-19 bbq.

| All moot points when it comes to Vaughan. He's already served 2 matches of his ban and we'll have at least a couple of friendlies before the season starts (hopefully 3 so that he can get a pre-season game under his belt).

| We should arrange as many friendlies as we need to fulfil Vaughans ban before the start of next season.

| They're so blinkered. Don't ask yourselves why clubs owners and players/coaches are willing to risk fines to say how they feel about the system, just slap them down and carry on regardless. It's telling when individuals from both sides are fined for the same game, surely it would be worth re-examining the referees conduct since it seemed to affect both teams? But no, we're right, you're wrong, and as Bob Geldof once said, just give us yer f'in money.
