im sorry just read this through and i was hoping leeds would win last night and be crowned super league "champions" however looking in at this sgtwilko it seems like you have come on here to rub it in noses and picked up on the smallest little things twisted them round to suit what you want to think and so you can run off to your own board and go look at all these sour grapes were getting poor us they are trying to bellitle our acheivements however not one wire fan hasnt said congratulations you deserve it so i think you should take your wooden spoon and start stirring around elsewhere

as has previously been said no one has said you didnt deserve to win last night i think that most people dont agree with the format of the playoffs and believe there should be more recognition for league leaders which i myself have been saying for years no one dissagrees with the playoffs being there and the GF however i think what most people are trying to say is wire have been the most consistent team this year as wigan were last year and i think leeds the year before (i lose track) and these teams that finish top of the league after the weekly rounds and has been the most consistent should get some recognition for this rather than a hubcap that is passed gingerly to the captain of the team then brushed under the covers with the rest of the crap go back to before super league they had recognition for the league leaders then they had the premiership competition that was in my opinion the best way of doing it as the leaders got their rewards and the premiership winners got theirs so they were completely seperate so it would look in the records as

superleague champions - insert team finishing top
superleague premiers - insert winner of GF

just my opinion but have always wanted more recognition for finishing top since the inception of superleague.

it is not sour grapes we are just looking at what needs to be done to improve our wonderfull game as i am a rugby league fan first and wire fan second love the sport and love your team

wire were the team who were on average best over the ordinary rounds of superleague... some of us are philosophical about this some of us are a bit bitter (amazing how all of a sudden we have become concerned about the justness of the playoff format!)

however, imo, and i admit this is the opinion of a wire speccie who thinks we deserve more plaudits... why do we even need the playoffs??? we already have a far far superior knock-out competition (superior to the playoffs that is) called the challenge cup... why not move the semi finals and final to the end of the season, replacing the playoffs (which i think everyone agreed were a bit rubbish this year except for the semi finals and final)

this would reinject life into the oldest rugby league trophy in the world (which imo is flagging a bit), still provide a knock out tournament at the end of the season, most likely for 4 teams from the top 6 depending on draw (but there could be a surprise) and would allow more time for an expanded exiles series

Leeds have won 4 titles in the last 5 years.

So it wasn't just won by 'anyone'. It was won by a team with a proven pedigree of winning, that trsuggle to cope with a new coaching set up and injuries at the start of the season.

If it was that easy to win from outside the top 2, why has it happened only twice in 14 years?

Go on, finish 5th next year and ''peak at the right time'' and see how easy you find it.
