Kyle Eastmond? How is he better than Sam? He may well turn out to be, but currently I don't know how you can make that statement.

the boy is a great player, but thats got nothing to do with being a class act, thats all about how you handle yourself and your demeanor(sp), and in those cases, kyle blows sam out of the water!

In the past two seasons who has been the better player???? Sam or Kyle....Sam by miles..infact Myler has been better too.

But none of those maybe with the exception of Edwards were as good as Tomkins at the same age, and I've watched all of them.

If Sam progresses as he has done over the last four years he could become an all time RL great.

This topic is about Sam Tomkins ans as someone who has watched him from his first ever game in Wigans academy I can tell you that he is better at this age (21) than any of the half backs Les Boyd has named, with the possible exception of Shaun Edwards.

Your own coach obviously holds him in high esteem as he selected him for England last year.

You've tipped him as a Wigan legend before. Tomkins is a very talented player but he is still some way behind Myler in terms of Tries/Assist per game ratio.

I don't anyone is (they shouldn't be if they know anything about rugby)questioning Sams talent as a player, i think it's more is shocking temperament and gamesmanship.

He has a fantastic temperament. He's been getting Shyte knocked out of (targeted) since he was 15 .
He just gets up and gets on with it, last Friday being a prime example. Of course he's a niggly little sod, wasn't Murphy, Edwards (Jackie and Shaun), Andy Greg, Paul Bishop, Lee Bries etc.

You could question Myler asking for try at Wigan when he was nowhere near the ball, or was that gamesmanship.

, i've no issue in some respects like you say some of the greats have been the same, Briers is cleverer in the way he does it, Sam not as much but i'd have him at the Wire and i wouldn't want him to change either.
For me though regardless of if they are great one thing he'll never be remembered for is having class.
Plenty of world class players have not had world class attitudes to fair play.
