Not a personal vendetta, you're not important enough. You're just irritating. I simply used your post as you made the comment about the extra 15k supporters turning up at the HJ. Wolfette was slightly more vague.

So our average gate is approx 10k, where did the extra 15k come from and why dont they support on a regular basis?

I have no problem with them going to Wembley, I just wish they would offer a more regular support.

My point was Natters that even if the extra 15k did support on a more regular basis they couldn't fit in the HJ anyway.

This whole "I'm a real fan, I go every week" attitude really annoys me. Not everyone has the ability or the circumstances to go every week, it doesn't mean they love the club any less. Myself and Foz don't go to all the games. I've been to 2 this season. Saints away on the first night of the seaon and Wembley. Am I included in the 'fake fans' you're referring to? Our reasons for not going are none of your business but rest assured I love Warrington Wolves and have been watching them since I was 6. Until the end of last season I always had a season ticket. People like me shouldn't have to justify ourselves and our support to the comments people like you (not just you) make.

My point is aimed at the people who quite clearly NEVER go to games who went to Wembley.

Also Gatcliffe has said in the last week that they want more fans to come to the hj so that they can justify increasing the capacity of the stadium. The plans to do so are already in place.

If just 25-30% of the extra 15k who went to Wembley started going to the hj then the club would then have good reason to implement the plans and make the stadium better not to mention having all the extra revenue to buy world class players.

But wouldn't you rather we had 30'000 people there roaring the boys on to victory than just the 10k who go to the HJ? Haven't we been criticising Hudds for that??

I am absolutely amazed at the amount of people who took the time out to make the costly journey down to Wembley, whether they be old or new fans - it doesn't matter.

I just want the 'new' fans to come and support the team at the hj or at least come more often than they have been ie, not at all.

I doubt the majority were 'new' fans. You don't have to go to games to be a fan.

A lot of the people of the streets would have been to either Wilderspool or HJ at some point. As Rugbychick stated, personal circumstances can dictate whether you can get to games or not.

I think the main point, is that we get some coming back. Remember we were getting 11k in the first two seasons at the HJ on a regular basis. The cup win may make some fans prioritise other things in their life to make it to the games next season (that doesn't mean not paying the mortgage

I'm pretty sure we will have increased gates next season not just due to the win but the expectation for next year under Smith.
