i hate kris welham with a passion, the fella cannot defend to save his life and we've made him look like steve renouf this year.

Would you not sign him though he is a left /winger and could alternate with Atkins, I understand your opinion of him as I said he's had his ups and downs, about his defence can we at wire compare him to anyone better this season?

The main point was we ask why have such a team signed whoever usually in derogatory terms and they go on to do well reaching Grand Finals, then we have Gale, Cook and others performing well, I'm sure I recall Gale being touted on here while at London it didn't go down too well, I wonder where he will turn up?

Would Lee Smith be worth signing as a centre? He's a big sturdy lad & is on a temporary contract with Wakey till after the play offs.

It was just a thought as we need a and in truth he is the only one available, we are not going to get any one from the top teams, it's just a thought but we may not be a top team and so possibly need to build, beggars can't be choosers and all that, I'm just trying to be realistic.

Welham is no world beater but he has decent pace, makes breaks, puts players away and is quite strong, so being realistic and the way we have played this season we don't want any of that so will stick with what we have.

You may well be and I understand your reasons why but lets say we signed Welham for this season would we have got more from him than Bridge, Evans or wheeler? I think so by a mile, he's not that bad really Okay not a Sarginson, Gelling, Dawson or Jones alright that's a bit tongue in cheek, he wouldn't be my first choice but we have to get what's available if and it's a big if they are an improvement.

At present there are a lot that would improve our backline but not all are available.
