| Chris Irvine who is The Times & Sunday Times RL correspondent has tweeted the following
Some people don't accept news until "officially" announced. Daryl Clark will "officially" join Warrington in October. Castleford can enjoy Daryl Clark for the rest of this season, but he will be a Warrington player in 2015. Some talent!

JULIEN RINALDI IS A CAS FAN
Allez Les Catalans:5525.jpg |
|
| Probably the Cas fan in question.
Spoke to Daz a month or so ago, to get told "I'm not gone until I'm gone" suggesting his mind wasn't made up.
This was contrast to what well connected members told me later that night that we'd arranged with yourselves to back out of the deal, increase Daz's deal to match yours and you'd agreed, subject to a compensation fee. Only for him to want to leave anyway.
I'm 90% sure he's going.
The social media offers a couple of straws for fans to clutch at, that's all it is.
A picture tweeted from a cafe owner who offered him a free breakfast everyday to stay, And he wouldn't get that at Wire. Daz favourited it
And a couple of players in the youth set up claiming he's staying
Straws to clutch at that's all
I'm just enjoying watching the leagues best number 9 in our colours, and hoping he scores the winner at Wembley if we get there.

| Just watched the Super League show on which Tanya Arnold said Daryl is coming to the Wire for 2015 just 'waiting for it to be announced'. Danny Maguire said DC wont be at Cas next season.

| I have just been looking at the recently published Wolves accounts. There is a lot to take in, but one item seems quite interesting; 'net cost on transfer fees £215,000'. The accounts are drawn up to the end of November 2013 so should cover all our new signings for this year. That would include Asotasi, Penny, Russel and England. The only player on that list that (I think) incurred a transfer fee was Anthony England, and the negotiations dragged on quite a bit, so perhaps we paid something in the region of £30k ? I wonder where the other £180,000 went ?

If that is the amount we paid for him then that is a bargain!

Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

| That just about figures, because I was told Warrington paid a transfer fee between 170k to 190k, depending on who was right. Definitely not below 170k and no higher than 190k. The deal was done subject to him being able to play with us this season. I am 95% certain he will be a Warrington player next season, unless there is an unbelievable change of mind or late developments.
Shame for us as he was the best prospect we have had for years.

We know all about losing talented young players (Harris, Sculthorpe) so I totally understand and feel your pain IF he comes to us. However, you have to be pragmatic about it if the money was needed to save the club.
Whenever we lost great players in the past it felt like the end of the world...but it wasn't ultimately. We did what we did to survive...and then we started to thrive and develop...and look at us now...great stadium...challenging for all the honours on a regular basis. As long as you are moving forward....thats the main thing....even if moving forward is literally just surviving in the short term.
Your priority in the medium to long term has to be financial security and then a new stadium. Get a solid revenue stream built on solid, well managed foundations....then you'll get to keep your best players and challenge the top on a consistent basis.
Enjoy him now...and IF he goes think about what that actually means for the long term of the club.....hard to take in the short term..we know.

We sold Andy Gregory and bought a pitch cover.

| You won't see DC in a Wire shirt now, forget it.
Robbie Farah is unsettled, time to get him in.

That is the transfer of Roy Asotasi to Widnes.
Even if we paid a transfer fee for Simms ( which would surprise me), it wouldn't have been before the end of Nov 2013 so wouldn't have been in this set of accounts.
