A few high 30's in there but yeah, we were generally very solid under Price.

| But..... for the majority of the time we played boring unattractive rugby.
I really ddint like mist of it.
If being tonked 40 points now means we get it right later on then I'll take it.
DP style is totally different to SP's.
Maybe that's why we're 'work in progress' - and maybe the reason behind some of the player moves.

We also got knocked out at home, in the first round, 3 years in succession, against much lower spending clubs. And we played dreadful attacking rugby resulting in decreasing attendances.
You have to give the manager time like every other manager is given at clubs worth their salt.
What would your solution be out of interest?

Price also had a 6 game losing streak in 2019. That was after a year in charge when the players switched off after the CC Final.
Very solid? We lost nearly 40% of our games under Price. People have short memories.

| Under Price we were bottlers. We bottled the play offs when favourite and we bottled the first game back after covid infront of the home fans vs Hudds. When we were favourites we couldn't handle it. We did saints in the CC because we weren't fancied.
Powell is alluding to this when we go behind against teams this season, he's constantly mentioning how me can't handle the pressure of chasing the game.
This squad needs an overhaul, if not in skill, in mentality and Powell is seemingly attempting that by switching up the entire engine room (whilst also dropping a winger who has a laugh on the pitch after most losses)

Funnily the panic is the thing that was highlighted most in that video.
He's mentioned it again after the wakey games and other times.
Its got much much worse under him

| I'm not sure if it's panic or cba attitude now. He's moving people on, will they be as d? Their mates who are left behind, are they sulking? You can either embrace change or fight against it, but in this situation it feels that if you're in the latter bracket, you'll not go far with this club in the next 2-3 years.
The risk to the club is if Powell is a dud and demotivates the new gang too

He's got an excellent track record or improving players and teams, so hopefully not.
For me, the club have got the right man - only time will tell.

| I also have faith in Powell. His biggest problem is that at other clubs he had a bunch of players fighting to make a living and build at least a bit of a reputation to help them get a new contract or a deal elsewhere.
At Warrington, we’ve gone out and offered big contracts to established players who’ve already been there and done it and having nothing to prove. I don’t for one minute think that our top players are intentionally not being ar$ed and taking the pee out of the fans, but psychologically they’re ‘comfortable’. They can coast along at 70% and do just enough, with the occasional moment of brilliance that reminds us of their YouTube highlight reel. Behind the scenes it’s ‘just another job’ for them, and their minds are on enjoying their rugby at the right pace and planning for what comes after rugby, with assurance from our nice club management.
It’s not their fault, it’s the club mindset we’ve created. And it’s time to change it. I suspect we’ll see some short-term desperation signings to bolster the pack (I quite like Vaughan, he’s not that old for a prop and has something to prove), and the backs (apart from Williams) will be classic Powell territory - young fresh players with pace to burn and something to show, even if they’re not current internationals. The cap spread will be more even, and there’ll be less resentment and certainly no arguments about fallen stars getting preferential treatment.
Bring it on please.

This is the scale of the job. Turn people who can get close to a TEAM that can get there. Don’t think that’s going well

Opposition coach team talk for last 4 years. “Wire will come out all guns blazing and likely make a couple of good chances early on. BUT if we can keep them out for 20 minutes they will fall apart.”
I think that covers it.

| It’s a sad state when really, if you slow the ruck and don’t let Ashton have any space, we’re beaten. Not to be defeatist, but that’s it really.

He coached Leeds, were they not a big club?

He did, and he left Smith with a pretty decent team that went on to win a grand final. He pretty much overhauled that squad didn’t too, didn’t he? It was his first gig of course.

Didn’t overhaul the squad at all no, wasn’t there long enough. What he did do was put faith in the youngsters. Made Sinny captain at 19 or 20 which was a big call. Also promoted Maggsy and Burrow. We all know what happened then and he does deserve some credit. However we all believe it took Tony Smith to lift us into the winners enclosure…..
