Yes the forward velocity of the player just at the point of passing can be compared with the forward velocity of the ball just following release. If the latter is greater than the former it's a forward pass.
Example. Player running at 25km/h forward velocity passes ball, ball is measured to have 25km/h forward velocity then it's a flat pass. > 25km/h it's a forward pass. No reference to the pitch, just the velocity of the player and ball is compared.'"
I think that's an attempt to baffle cloth cap brains with utter b/s.

I suspect the device would overload and the ball would explode!

I think we know why it can't be achieved from that statement. You would need a video ref with the brain power of Einstein at every game & there just aren't enough Thalers to go round.

Well that's simplified that then.

Now he is retired from the game I’m sure they would get Tom Brady in as a technical advisor.

To be fair they could teach 'old Tom' a thing or two

Ha ha. Or something like Hawk Eye in cricket. Or non-myopic linesmen.

Disappointed with that to be honest.
He will probably get the ban removed now, so he can play for England.
There is no-way that Cullen and his Chums would have allowed that to happen if his next game was for Wire.
We shouldn`t have appealed.

| If Williams injury is the reason for his Jekyll & Hyde season. I hope he gets his ban extended!

RL player gets injured and keeps playing, until he can get surgery/rehab at the end of the season shocker.

My post is a tongue in cheek remark of being selfish.
Wanting him not to play in 3 friendlies v Tonga so we can get him fit for 2024.
Let’s be honest, it’s exactly how the NRL teams will treat the oncoming test series, and their willingness to release any of their stars. The Tonga team is bulging with fringe and lower grade players.

| final two fingered salute to the Saints as a club from a vindictive one eyed MRP that has dogged us all season. Whether it be bizarre decisions or inappropriate sanctions at key moments the MRP has pretty much ruined our season, ensuring a level playing field of mediocracy and that the returning World Club Champions would be made aware of the way the game is played here in Blighty, far too intense the way Saints beat those antipodean fellows! I know Saint's attack has been poor and our discipline questionable at times (although not to the extreme extent it's been deigned to be by Mr Cullen and his apparatchiks) but the way Saint's were officiated upon their return from Australia, trophy in hand, was akin to the way the Crust Munchers are, ie: totally differently to everyone else! Unfortunately Saints didn't get the positive "Fortress DW" treatment (which permits flops, heads in the face, continual offside and guaranteed reviews if a Pieman accompanied by several team mates, waving their arms and shouting rushes to the referee), oh no, Saints got the RFL, MRP, IMG "Levelling Up Agenda". Week after week fans saw identical offences punished differently, with Saints players usually being on the wrong side of the bans in comparison with identical offences committed by other teams. This despite the fact that statistics invariably showed Saints having the slowest PTB in the league as they were obviously being held down/wrestled with by opponents in a usually vain, but sometimes successful attempt at thwarting Saints go forward.
On a positive note, at least Phil Clarke can enjoy the rest of the year in the knowledge that whomever wins the Grand Final, they will have achieved this milestone without "effectively cheating". He may even push Barrie Mac in the back down a flight of stairs at the SKY after match party, Barrie wouldn't mind, it'd be perfectly legal, wouldn't it?
Because Saints are the only team picked on, they must know we don’t have Mr Cullen in our pocket because if we did why then ban Vaughan. These people are a different breed of human.
Ps got this from Redvee ofc.

Amazing, the most one eyed victim set of fans in world sport. They don't even think they had preferential treatment for the last 4 years do they? Tbe only evidence anyone will ever need is linehams not captured on tv squirrel grip ban vs makinsons which was very much captured on tv. I games vs 3, guess which team got the most lenient treatment. Superleague have got it in for saints, they should join the championship and boycott superleague.
