| Strange decision by the ref last night to award a drop out against the Mighty Wire when Sita caught a chip kick within the in goal area. I couldn't see anything relating to the Mamo try as it was just too far away for my vision, but i think the Thewlis injury was purely accidental.

| The Thewlis incident was a pure accident no doubt about it, just caught a glancing blow

However Isa was roughing him up and hitting him hard all night, bordering naughty.

That's not the same thing though.
BTW and why not he's a young talented kid I'd expect it the other way round. There's nothing wrong with being "frewn to the floor vewy woughly" and I'd also expect his team mates to muck in and back him up. It's been a big part of the game and sport in general.

Absolutely.
Does him more good than harm.
It did knock some sail out of Thewlis, the idea was to hit him hard and get him to cough up possession, don’t think he made more than 2 errors for the attention he got from him. Considering the size difference, I’d say the tactic failed.

Bordering on naughty my Arris..it's part of the game..I heard the Wigan commentary team say it's the 1st penalty of the game and were in the 2nd half..if this is true there's Sumert wrong..wire v Wigan and we have to wait that long for a penalty...be playing tick n pass next

It was the far side of the pitch and without getting Wenger-esque would agree. Despite him having form I was a bit surprised that Hicks didn't go to the screen for Mamo's try before obviously awarding it having come to the same conclusion as us.

| I did want one of our bigger men to go teach Isa that he messes with one he messes with all. Not sure that happened but at least Coops threw that winger around like a rag doll and Clark made Partington look 8st in most of his tackles.

| For the Mamo try I'm not sure what going to the screen would have achieved. It looked like both players going for the ball and therefore no penalty (the incident occurred close to me but I only saw it once and from one angle). The only question would have been, should the ref have stopped the game as soon as he saw that the player was down with a head injury? The Wigan medical team weren't hampered in getting to the player so I don't see a problem.

I was really worried from what saw on sky until he got up also the players reactions near him were not indicating anything particularly bad.
Hope he recovers well, I think he again had a good game, one on one defence was great he bounced up from the ISA hit on him I do think he will be one of the better full backs in the league in the coming years thankfully the NRL is awash with exceptional full backs at the moment, but if he continues to improve and can start coming into the line a bit more as an extra man. Still a long way to go but he's certainly the one player from our youngsters who have stood out as a level above.

Same. The commentators reacted like they do when they see a broken leg etc.
Thewlis posted on Twitter that "everything's all good", so seems likes he's fine.
